mike4lsu, if you don't understand that it's the difference in our front 7 versus theirs, then you don't get it.

Have an upvote, OP. You're correct. The qb recruiting and more importantly development has been pretty much a fricking trainwreck since Flynn.

The difference is that Les has started a 2nd year qb 4 out of his 11 years.....Lee in 2008, Jefferson in 2009, Jennings in 2014 and Harris in 2015. LSU is 0-4 vs AL in those games (2 lost in overtime). Les is 5-2 with a third year or more starting. Sabear has started Wilson (4th year) in 2007, Wilson (5th year) in 2008, mcelroy (4th year) in 2009, mcelroy (5th year) in 2010, mccaron (3rd-5th years) in 2011, 2012 and 2013, then a 5th year each of the last two seasons. That and hemorraging underclassmen to the draft for a couple of years is why lsu lost.

You left out Jerrard Randall who transferred out and went on to start for Arizona and Gunnar Kiel who "Momma's boy'd" out.

Excellent point. You could take the OP and replace all the names with years of experience and the true difference would be obvious - Experience at the QB position.

Jarrett Lee was actually pretty fricking good in 2011. Better than 2015 Harris probably.

[2] Blake Simms ( 4 star, #33 athlete by Rivals ) --- 1 SEC championship, (3 national championships as a backup) [Converted running back]. Won the SEC as a first time starter and took his team to the playoffs. Came into Tiger Stadium and led his team to a come from behind victory. [3] Jake Coker ( 4 star pro-style QB, transferred from Florida State).

So you are saying that Alabama has only had 3 rostered QBs since 2008? Because you listed all of our QBs and just their starters QBs, hell you even listed ones that were never on the team.

That and RP was kicked off the team, not a true transfer out.
