Ivan hit the panhandle of Florida, the to the Atlantic, wrapped all the way around back into the gom, then hit Louisiana as a tropical storm.

Andrew did hit Miami and then Louisiana, but no loop was involved.

I'm guessing they're waiting on the latest Hurricane Matthew information. New projections and info are released every 6 hours with the next being release at 5pm EST. They must have plans already in place for whatever outcome in the projected path.

As of 11am they were only expected to receive 3-6 inches of rain from this on Friday.

I didnt say that. Im sure people wil be popping up on twitter soon saying the same.

Things to consider: evacuations, lack of support personnel/emergency services, shortages of power, food, gas, flying the team and staff into a category 4 hurricane. Even if the storm is gone by game time Saturday all of the above are still factors. The game will not be played in gainesville.

The threads just got whacked but two popped up at about the same saying game was in BR. The source for one was a band member, said the band was just told.

They are trying to get it moved to a 2:30 or later start. Trying to get ESPN on board, plus the not crack of dawn game gives everyone time to settle down from what happened. Almost identical what happened last year with the SC game. Alleva was able to get it pushed back from the initial start time.

Was just wondering the same thing. They weren't particularly outlandish.

just like how i said its going to start popping up all over twitter soon, thats what just happened, because the decision has been made and the appropriate people have been told so they can start preparations. so they whacked them presumably because their "sources" didnt have it first.

Sounds likely the game is in BR, but will the time remain the same? With my house possibly being flooded, news of Mike, and the possibility of having no power and no way to watch at noon Sat, life for me sucks right now.
