LSU and Oklahoma have postponed their home-and-home football series scheduled for 2018-19, the schools announced Wednesday. Also, LSU and Tulane will not open the 2015 season with a game, an LSU official said.

LSU and Oklahoma were scheduled to play in Norman in 2018 followed by a game in Tiger Stadium in 2019 but are trying to reschedule. LSU and Tulane were in unofficial talks about opening the 2015 season in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sept. 5 but that deal is off the table, senior associate athletic director Verge Ausberry said.

Nice. Fun facts.
This will be the first game we've played in the Golden State since 1984 winning 23-3 in the Coliseum. Jack del Rio was a LB for USC that year. Sean Salisbury was QB.Previous to that contest we lost the 17-12 heart breaker in Tiger Stadium in 1979. LSU has never played UCLA In football.

Rose Bowl holds over 100,000....Tickets through TAF will still be ridiculous price and hard to come by.

I wonder if UCLA reached out to us, or we contacted them?
I love this match-up. We already have Rettig from CA, could be decent for recruiting just do it. After all these years LSU-Southern Cal needs to happen again. Apparently, those were some epic battles in the 70s.

With the way USC has been scheduling OOC games recently, good luck on this one. Although I am one who would want this played more than anyone.

With so many close calls to the Rose Bowl, it would be nice for this to happen. Even if not in January.

At least 7 years notice, but I bet there will still be women who schedule weddings to conflict with these games.

that's a given. I skipped a wedding for Bama vs. LSU in T-town 2011. I'd do the same for this.

So we'll play two road games against these two schools and then have them cancel the return visits with some simple buy-out. Yup. GENIUS!!!

It's probably because it's the only way these scary arse teams will play us. Unless you want another Classic in an NFL stadium.

That was canceled primarily because of the new CFB playoff format. I don't really blame OU for dropping us. Why make it anymore difficult on yourself when it comes to a 4 team playoff?

All these teams, and especially coaches like Bob Stoops always points fingers at the SEC for scheduling weak OOC, and then their AD switches up because the schedule is tougher??? shite we played Oregon and WVU in the same year (both of whom went on to win their BCS bowl games), and we went to the NCG undefeated. So they are acting chicken shite if that's the reason.

Wow, nothing like scheduling something a decade ahead. My grandkids will enjoy the games.

The chance of us actually playing this games is about 10%. Same way we scheduled Oklahoma in 1927 to be on the 2016 schedule, and that has been cancelled

Y'all are some miserable SOBs.
