I'm going to be so pissed if they move by us. They are the whole reason we moved off the parade ground. It's so nice being able to hear our own music and not dealing with fraternities overflowing towards our space.

People are crazy about their "spots". I have no idea where they would go.
And rightfully so. LSU tailgating is a great tradition. I’d be livid if we lost our spot.

Good! Maybe now the parade grounds won't look like Skid Row for football games.

Sounds like they don't want frats on parade grounds. They will just go somewhere else. Who cares.

Uhhh students. Ya know, the people who actually attend the university.

I think all the rest is mostly ridiculous and over-the-top, but I'm fully supportive of this part. Fine them if they leave their spot trashed.
It's a huge problem at UGA too. Few things frustrate me more than seeing people leave campus in a fricking state of disgrace after tailgating.
They put trash cans everywhere! Clean up your shite! It would take 10 people about five minutes to clean up the trash from a tailgate.

Wrong. Those spots will just be given to another organization who does reserve it. Remember, it isn't just the greeks. Chess club can reserve spots there too.

I think its a brilliant move. These "Kids" have destroyed parts of campus with their trash and etc. Time to act like an adult and clean up after yourself!

I was mainly joking but trashing the parade grounds has been pretty terrible.
I don't get how people can have such a lack of awareness. It's not hard to keep your area clean during a tailgate. The orgs who tailgate on the parade grounds are spoiled brats who need to be brought down a peg or two. Every big time college football program has tailgates that trash campus on gameday but those pictures of the parade grounds after tailgating are really embarrassing.

I'm amazed it took this long to enforce anything to reduce that. All it would have taken was a a few pictures of the parade ground trashed sent to Greek life letting them know that if it happened again they would lose tailgating privileges.

looks like the spoiled little assholes have some consequences and repercussions.
I walked through the parade grounds around 230 prior to chatanooga. It was pretty gruesome. People passed out, just beyond what I'd call drinking and having fun. I'm bout the coolest 40 year old on the planet. However, you fratty assholes are gross, nasty motherfrickers

Student organizations wishing to tailgate on the LSU Parade Ground will have a new set of guidelines following recent incidents of violence and drinking.
Each organization has between noon Monday and noon Wednesday the week before the game to register a tailgate. Each approved organization will have an assigned 30 x 30 feet area roped off by 10 unmovable trash cans. The organization cannot set up before 8 a.m. on gameday, and will be required to check-in with University officials upon arrival.
Organizations cannot have a tent larger than 10 x 10 feet, but can have up to four tents inside their area. The organization’s name must be posted on the tent, and they cannot have walls or binders to shield view.
Tailgates cannot have common source drink containers, glass containers, tablecloths, furniture (with the exception of folding chairs, lawn chairs and tables), stages or other structures, vehicles of any kind, tent walls, drapes or stakes to anchor tents. Tents must be anchored with weights that do not dig into the Parade Ground turf.
Tailgates must be cleaned up before the game begins, Dean of Students Mari Fuentes-Martin said. Tents must be taken off the Parade Ground, and all trash must be cleaned up.

Bars are going to start making a lot more money on gameday with rules like this.
