I'm 100% sure after reading it again. This gameday parking charge doesn't "reserve" you a spot. The only reserved lots are the current paid lots (season passes).
agreed. you are correct.

Golfer-you know better. The major trash generating pigs on the PG are the Frat boys that will continue without it costing them another dime. I'll be glad to pay to park if they will keep those animals and their garbage confined to their cages.
There are 4 Fraternities that tailgate on the Parade Ground and another 30-50 1-3 tent crews each week. I expect that number to be half given the makeup of those groups, the manner in which most get there, etc.

Is first-come-first-serve such a difficult concept to grasp? You aren't guaranteed shite... even after having to buy a trailer pass before the season at $50 a game.

Don't complain. Programs need revenue to compete. Minnesota and Michigan State charge for parking and have for years and charge to park in lots with shuttle buses and they haven't won a national championship since the 1960s.

Its time for people to report them to LSU. I'm 100% certain they are the root cause of some of these new policies. The West Virginia game and the amount of trash they left behind was astounding. It made news all over.

Well for one, LSU isn't in an urban setting like Minnesota.
And no one is complaining about paying. It is the amount and the logistical nightmare this places with tailgating.

Meaning every trailer coming from outside the immediate BR area will have to stop at some designated point and purchase a pass.
Trailer passes cannot be bought on Gamedays!
FRIDAY
5 p.m. Vehicles allowed to enter campus
5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Permit sales period at various locations to be announced at a later date

it says for sure you can buy for the whole season? that just seems dumb.

Re-reading, they can be bought before the season.

Youdidnt read the brochure, buddy. It says you cannot buy trailer permits on gameday. They will be for sale approximately 1 month before the season begins. The car passes are sold on gameday NOT trailer permits.

So it will be a pay by game basis with money exchanged as you enter the lot?
Thats what it sounds like. I don't think they can staff each lot. I'm guessing they will have to use those booths but it will still be a mess.
I agree with this idea and as a season ticket holder I would be completely fine with it if I'm given the opportunity to buy a season pass (even though it doesn't reserve me a spot, I'm assured it gets me within this perimeter to my tailgating area). Then again, I paid out of my arse for a reserved pass this year so this alternative would be better for me.

Trailer permits will be available for purchase approximately one month before the season
So its saying an out of state tailgater coming in for 2 games a year or a visiting team must get to campus between 5-8pm on friday to buy a trailer pass?

GOod call. Minnesota and Michigan St are both known for their tailgating atmosphere. GTFO with that dumb shite.
Posted on 11/16/10 at 8:34 pm to terd ferguson
The other big tailgating schools allow for drop off points and such during designated times.
Sounds like LSU doesn't want to even deal with that.

The new policies in Georgia have decimated tailgating and the Athens local economy too. Looks like LSU is going that route though
