Purchasing a permit does not guarantee a trailer or vehicle access to any area on campus. Parking the trailer in any specific area is first-come first-serve and is subject to availability. Utility trailers are not permitted to park in season reserved lots. Trailers and vehicles will be allowed into motor home lots to drop off items up until seven hours prior to kickoff. Vehicles are permitted 15 minutes to drop off items in motor home lots. If the owner of a utility trailer chooses to keep his/her trailer on campus, they will be required to have a permit and will be directed to park it in a non-reserved lot. Trailer permits cannot be purchased on gameday.

Guess what...THIS IS A TAX.

No shite, and I don't think many people in here are against charging. Just the arbitrary $780 for a car/trailer next year and $1040 in 2012. Up from $0 in 2010.

I think "non-reserved lot" means the lots without season passes. So the new "per game charge" lots will be alright to have your trailer.

It says reserved lot which means paid parking, right? So I'm guessing the trailer cant be there at all

I think it means the current paid lots.

Negative I have been paying for the rv lot for the past 10 or so years. So don't cry me a river.

Aren't all trailers supposed to be parked in a spot?

No, many have theirs in locations that are not parking spots.

I just told my wife about this. Thanks LSU. You are pricing your own alumni out of the stadium. 2 lsu grads making decent money have to question if it is affordable to attend games anymore.

Going to LSU games is something we both love and as a matter of fact it is where we met. Keep it up you greedy fricks.

What sucks even more is they aren't even letting you drop off stuff if you didn't want to park. Even Bama lets them do this each morning from 8am-10am for those who tailgate on the quad and park somewhere else.

Golfer, I can try to arrange a meeting with the people in charge if 10-15 people are interested in attending to answer questions.

LSU needs to have input. I'm afraid to say it but people making these decisions are out of touch with reality and how things actually work for tailgating.

I'm 100% sure after reading it again. This gameday parking charge doesn't "reserve" you a spot. The only reserved lots are the current paid lots (season passes).

I haven't emailed anyone, but I am and it probably won't be until after next week. I'll go sit down with Joe, Verge, et. al to discuss.

As most have said, I don't think they would be opposed to paying. It is just the amount and the method.

Charge me $200 a season for a reserved spot in my lot and I'm fine with it.

So it will be a pay by game basis with money exchanged as you enter the lot?

I hope they have 4 police around each money taker.

Then have an extra 10 cops directing traffic as it backing up as people are getting correct change to enter the lot, etc...

The biggest disagreement is that LSU has always encouraged those who casually tailgate to do so on the parade ground. Expect it to be less populated next season.

Golfer-you know better. The major trash generating pigs on the PG are the Frat boys that will continue without it costing them another dime. I'll be glad to pay to park if they will keep those animals and their garbage confined to their cages.
