Sorry i presented a legit solution to the OP's problem. You are part of the problem with society today. Society today wants to moan and complain about problems and criticize any solution offered instead of offering up their own tangible solutions. All my post was was the offering of a tangible solution. I apologize that you did not like my solution.
You didn't provide a solution to anything. You just made assumptions and acted like a jerk.

Let me restate my solution

Get season tickets and don't be a bandwagon fan that only shows up for the Kentucky game.
See Mr. KingofthePoint if you actually had season tickets you would know that it is an actual ticket. On the other hand the OP had a printed out piece of paper serving as a ticket and so did the couple sitting in the OP's "seats." If the OP would have had an actual ticket like those that are given to season ticket holders then the event staff would have let the OP sit in those seats and kicked the others out. Having season tickets would have been a solution to the OP's problem. I am sorry Mr. KingofthePoint that you could not see the solution and needed it explained to you.

Great so everybody that wants to watch an lsu basketball game better buy season tickets...I love your solution.
Next you would say if you cant find something at walmart buy everything at the store, and you will surely get what you wanted and not have to search for anything....

Wut?
I've been to a hundred basketball games the last 6 years, and the last thing I have to complain about is the ticket office. You don't walk up to a student worker and ask for a solution to the problem, then complain on TigerDroppings about it. Sure, LSU could have handled it better, but there were a million things going on that night.

Season tickets start at $100. Your analogy is terrible.

LSU Ticket Office is run as well as any in the country. Be lucky they didn't kick you out for a bad ticket.

In the last 16 years I have been to a million sporting events at LSU and the ticket office has always been on point. The reason I am being a "jerk" (really who calls anyone a jerk besides 6 year olds) in this thread is because it is obvious that the OP is the guy at the office that broke the printer and doesn't know what happened. Everyone has this guy in the office. He broke the printer and he was "just using it like normal." But in reality everyone else in the office knows this guy is an idiot and broke the printer.

Tickets can only scan one time.
And if you have print at home tickets you can only print a ticket one time or it won't scan and will alert the scanner to it possibly being a duplicate.
So something isn't adding up. L

Seems like duplicate tickets wouldn't scan at the door.
I bought a scalped ticket at Mike's cage that day; and I was worried the guy who sold it to me did the same thing. It worked at the door though.
Sometimes mistakes happen.

We didn't, it was a 50 year old man.
I didn't say we were wild pissed, just disappointed that we bought tickets and weren't able to go.
That said... we won so

Don't confuse a ticket Marshall with the ticket office...

No, you did not present a reasonable solution. So in your opinion, only season ticket holders should go to an LSU game? That's completely asinine.

So did you go to the game or not?

Although that sucks, I think LSU should get somewhat of a break here. There are many third party sites, scammers, all kinds of stuff. I know for a fact there were 5 empty seats directly in front of me in 210. In 209, there were at least 3 different pairs of seats 3 and higher. You could have sat somewhere else.
People who come to a single game and then bitch about quality of service, I take with a grain of salt. Although I believe you and it is unfortunate, you don't seem to be THAT upset about it.
Why the hell does LSU need a break when ALL of the tickets are sold through them...regardless if 3rd party sites are reselling them? Do you think 3rd party sites print the tickets up themselves? This is the dumbest thing I have ever read on this site.

Get season tickets
If everyone who wanted to see an LSU football game had to buy season tickets then only 102,000 people could see a game each year. The university sells individual game tickets so many more people can see the Tigers each year.
Why is your solution to any problem to spend more money than necessary?

this is the biggest load of crap i've ever heard. I purchase print at home tickets for football and baseball. i print copies, and forward the email they came on to who ever i've purchased them for. i print extra copies of each just to be on the safe side, but I've never used one that I've printed. the person i've sent the email to prints their own and uses those tickets. never ever had a problem printing the ticket twice and being turned away. the tickets just can't be scanned more than once. don't matter how many times you print them. where do you people come up with this bullshite?

Only one barcode is active at a time for every seat. You can print as many times as you want with the same barcode. But you can only use 1 of them.
