First of all I appreciate what miles did for us as a football program. No he wasn't the greatest coach but he represented the university well even enspite of his odd ball antics. I appreciate that he brought us a championship even with inherited players. As we see in football it takes compitant coaching and excellent players to win it all. Thought he did a masterful job in the regular seasons and a horrendous job for the championship game. He was fired albeit should have been fired sooner (after the arm game) but it is what it is. Blame goes to the administration for the way the firing was handled and in enixplicable hiring of coach o. I don't know the man and can't speak of his character but he didn't deserve the job. The job should have gone to a proven winner. Not someone who was a proven loser. But with that said there isn't anything saying he can be a good coach. We are severely undermanned on the offensive line. And only one playmaker at linebacker and no real run stopper in the secondary. It's even worse in the online. Coach o has been dealt a short hand when it comes to depth. Anyone who watches he game can see we are physically outmatched upfront. Those fans who want us to lose to get rid of the mistake of coach o i question your motives. I for one don it like the hire. And if i were a betting man i would say it will get worse before it gets better. But i will always support my tigers and my great hope is to be proven wrong and coach o be proven to be a championship coach. With that said, regardless of our record this year Alleva needs to go. Whether he was lucky or not and hired a good coach his process is flawed. The buyout should have been substantially less and coach o should have been a third tier selection. Not a knee jerk reaction to not getting his top two.
The Florida game was not a pretty game. But we one a game in the swamp. When we needed to. Give the coaches and players some respect for a hard fought win. Each chose to be part of our beloved program.
