FWIW i am a student and i agree there is no participation in the student section. even most of the people that sit there just stand there. it is a complete embarrassment for an SEC school. i will go 2 every game and cheer my arse off, but something has 2 change for the PMAC 2 become a hostile place to play. i am watching the game right now and there are twice as many people there as a regular LSU game.

Oh well, basketball's not huge in Louisiana. Isn't LSU a football school? At least 90,000+ go to your football games, so it ain't all bad.

Thats tickets sold You play Troy, La Tech, Tulane.

For 90+ in the stands it must be nice weather, against a top 10 team, and at night.

Hey buddy, at least my Tech brethren showed up pretty decently for the game in BR... We were very let down by the atmosphere that night, and it honestly gets much more exciting in Ruston. Maybe after how it turned out this past season, next time the LSU fans will show up and be more fired up. :) Louisiana fans in general are pretty bandwagonish though.

Well, you'd have to hit up my tailgate for a little if LSU EVER comes to Shreveport or Ruston ever again. I know it'll be a long time before it ever happens, but I'm just sayin'... There would be -->

It used to be pretty poor in Ruston, BUT things have drastically changed. The Hawaii and Boise games this year were AWESOME. I guarantee the Southern Miss game will be a loud one this coming year in Ruston, and so will the game against Fresno State.

Goodness they don't show up?

I sure did when LSU wasn't so great. I remember Dale Brown's first team, which he called "The Hustlers". They had to hustle because basically they had no talents, except I think for Eddie Palubinskas (from Australia).
