If I had a son that was a blue-chip recruit I sure as hell would want him to play for some school that has better fans than you are. Why shuold a kid come to LSU and have all that ignorant fanbase to contend with?
Come on, that shite happens at EVERY school with EVERY fan base. That's like saying no other school will boo their team in a game- guess what? It happens at every major university...we are no different, just maybe more passionate than other fans...

This program is done under this coach.

That's your opinion and you are welcome to it.

I'm not giving up at this time on the LSU players or staff. If you want to, knock yourself out.

The "big fricking picture" to me is the LSU team went from 7-5 to 9-3, from 7th in the SEC to 3rd, and from being unranked to nationally ranked. No reasonable/objective person will see that as a "downward spiral".

I'm not in a rush to piss on the LSU football team/program, but others can do as they please.

Judging what happened on offense this year, not surprising. A lot of negative ammo avaialable to recruit against LSU. We need a strong in state crop like 2011 to build around. Les has his work cut out for him. The seat is already warm, the natives are restless, and LSU is looking at another 8-9 win season next year unless some youngsters have big years.

Recruiting is the only thing Miles does above-average as a head coach.

The end is near, but LSU will only fall as far as Miles is allowed to remain head coach. The excuse-for-everything guys are hurting LSU.

You must have really missed watching LSU play this past season.

Any realist will tell you LSU has declined. The only question is can they rebound without a wholesale change.

My answer is no, yours is yes.

Do you think this is normal or is it a sign of a downward spiral in football?

For those of you who don't really follow recruiting, the answer is that it's fairly normal. (sorry negatators)

Like I said, no reasonable/objective person will see the results of 08 to 09 as a downward spiral.

My answer is that I don't know what 10 and beyond hold for LSU, but if you do...great.

I don't have a problem with it providing your not getting a commit from someone else, also there are only a few weeks left so our coaching staff better hit the trail hard

This kind of constant negativity about a coach who just won 9 games, and a stadium that starts to empty in the third quarter of every single home game is not going on at every school. A loud and ignorant small minority is going to help drag the football program down, just because they hate our coach. frick just supporting the team, that's an unheard of concept in Tigerland.

I look at it both ways. We did lose McKnight and Jackson the last few years and survived and looks to be the same with Reed this year. Losing Hunter hurts and the possibility of losing Marsh doesn't make it easier but we will survive.

In reality it is like having a sore and you lose the bandaid before it stops bleeding. It is how fast you put another one on. Maybe last years poor offensive output was part of the reason for losing 3 of the highly recruited recievers we wanted this year. If next years offense is better with the hires of Wilson and Gonzales we will have stopped the bleeding. We still have a shot at Lache.

Commit, de-commit, re-commit, re-de-commit ,,, I've stopped sweating the details on a lot of this. The one area where Miles has excelled is recruiting, and while we may not have the #1 class this year, I'd bet a peso or two we'll finish in the top 10. We'll get our share, others will get their share: that's how it's basically worked out ever since I started following this stuff.

Besides, at this point I'm more concerned about how the players who do sign with LSU are DEVELOPED. Give me a top 10 class and I'm satisfied we got kids who can compete. Now coach 'em up Les and earn your $3.8 mil salary.

This attitude sumarizes the whole issue with Miles. We have gone from a consistant top 5 class to now maybe top 10 while Florida and Alabama continue getting top 1 or 2 classes. Recruiting will not get better and we play Florida and Alabama each year. We are losing top players that we used to get.

The second issue is Miles staff is not coaching these players up. Miles chose Malveto and that killed 2008. Miles lucked into Chavis when Fulmer and staff were fired, but had to deal with Crowton and illegal recuitung from the WR coach in 2009. Now Wilson and Galespi may be able to help contain the 2009 class but they are powerless with Miles poor clock and game mangement. Miles is leading us back to the Dinardo days and being paid elite pay to do so. The longer Miles stays, the worse our FB program will be.
