I thought he was a 3 star?

Honestly, IDGAF how many stars it was.

I care that not a single other serious school showed ANY interest.

I’m not sure exactly what they were expecting from the spring game, but apparently it was some sort of Baylor 100 point air raid
or maybe something different then we’ve seen the last few years

He was. His HS film was very good. Quality decision maker, great leader

His other 3 offers were SFA, UNLV and Arky St.

Not a single other serious school showed interest.

That's typically not an accident. It's not unheard of. But it ain't no accident.

At what point does that no longer matter though? He isn't a true freshman.

LOL at all of the beer belly coaches pissing and moaning because their particular pick for qb didn't light up the place.

You losers are such a sad bunch.

if that was the case why were there no other power 5 offers?

Looks like he can play in the SEC to me

Some people develop. He's better than 4* Narcisse

Typically, if a guy looks like he has legit talent that can develop, someone is interested.

I mean, it ain't like the only guys that get serious school interest are the ones who are expected to be the next Tua.

And hell, let's be frank here. By serious school, I'm not even talking Bama, UGA or something like that. shite. The La. Tech's of the world showed no interest.

You think he's developed enough to be better than Etling when he couldn't beat him out last year?

I thought he looked pretty good, as well.

Well, I think he looked OK too.

But, as smart as I may think I am, I'm a fan of collective judgement by the people whose jobs rely on evaluating talent upside being USUALLY correct.

It's not fail safe. But it wins a whole lot more than it loses.

It's not like it's unheard of for this to happen.

By the way. If I had to pick a starter based ONLY on today, I'd pick JM.

But damn. That's just not a good sign.

Because a tightly controlled scripted scrimmage is such an indicator?

Really dude?

Don't know, didn't see him play last year. I think he threw one pass.

But don't let that stop your continual meltdown

And he appears to be ahead of 2 guys that were ranked pretty high by those guys. If Brennan and narcisse we're considered chumps it would be different.
