Seems like ya'll aren't too pumped up about this weekend. I think the team performance has been lacking lately and I fear this may be a Tech winning this regional rather it be Texas Tech or LA Tech. How confident are yall?

LA Tech

Don't think they will win the regional

The pitching in this regional is very mediocre, if we can't score runs there is a problem. Texas Tech is a good team with very potent bats but their pitching is not very good. None of the pitchers in this regional can compare to the pitchers at Alabama and Florida.

Tigers win. I'm not sure Minnesota gets out of their regional, so we may even host next week, too.

If the offense continues at its pace they not winning the regional. Funny thing is I thought they improved in this area.

for the last month or so our offence looks like last years team....what changed? We are back to watching the ball cross the plate and not swinging! Are we looking for a pitch that does not come? Is this a scouting problem or films breakdown? I think we win big anyway.....

Well half the lineup is in a major funk and teams have adjusted on the "launch angle" swings.

Amanda sanchez's bat dying has been one of the biggest issues. She is batting like .160 in her last 15 games and it would be even lower if you remove the one midweek game. Her and Sunseri haven't been at the level they were the first half of the year unfortunately. Some of it is due to facing much better pitching, they are also being exploited by certain pitches. Doyle I notice, everyone is pitching her completely outside and outside only.

On a side note, SEC schools haven't been out to a very good start. Arkansas lost to Tulsa yesterday 5-0 after the defense melted down in the 7th. South Carolina just lost to USF.

Tulsa though is making things interesting tied with OSU 5-5 in the 4th.

Now 8-5 lol

I'll get back to you after LSU swings the bats against Monmouth. If they get their swagger at the plate back, then they run through this regional easily.

Kenny G just feel asleep and seemed content with letting the pitcher walk in 3 runs. Very lucky to get the dp with the bases loaded.

Texas Tech comes on in a few, curious if LA tech can pull off the upset. They have played great ball lately. We have seen a few upsets already in this tournament.

I am struggling to see how they will escape this regional with this loss. They have zero pitching behind Show.

How about Boise State? I hope they knock off the Gators tomorrow. That would be awesome!

ESPN 3. Is it a pay site? Every other SEC team it seems like is on a cable channel that can be seen.

Looks like we're getting umpires trying to make a statement in the Baton Rouge regional. First inning and they've already called a slapper out for being outside the box and already called an illegal pitch.

Not surprising, the addition of a 4th umpire should help them see more stuff

Worried though because if they are on top of illegal pitches, gorsuch will get hammered later if she does pitch.
