[quote]What season have you been watching? Apart from one bad 4 game stretch, they have pulled out quite a few close games in the late innings. They certainly haven’t displayed a pattern of blowing leads.
That is the point. In the SEC, they had a lead in both losses at MIZZOU, Ole Miss, the game yesterday. It’s the same story for the past few years , we do fine until conference play[/quote
There is a tendency on this board to describe losses in the most critical and negative ways possible. Thus when talented athletes on the opposing teams get crucial hits in a comeback win these people are not content o just credit the opponent for playing well they feel compelled to say LSU " blew " a lead. These other teams have talented players on scholarship too and sometime they win the moment. LSU is 31-5 so they are clearly winning more moments even if those losses occurred in the toughest conference in the country.

We have 5 losses. We are in top 10. What are we bitching about?

Every team can say the same. UF was one strike away from winning today, but they “blew” their lead in the 7th.

They did lose a 2-0 lead in the final two innings against Ole Miss and they lost yesterday after taking a 1-0 lead in the 6th, but those are the only losses all year in which they led after the 4th. That’s hardly a grand pattern of blowing leads.
They came from behind to beat Northwestern and Oklahoma St. They scored in the 6th and 7th to win Game 2 against Kentucky. They scored 6 on 6th to win Game 3. They scored 2 in the 6th to come from behind in Game 3 against Missouri. They scored in the 5th and the 8th to come from behind in Game 1 against A&M. They scored 4 in the 6th to come from behind in Game 2. They scored 7 in the 6th to come from behind in Game 3. Today’s game was back and forth before they scored in the 7th and 8th to pull out the victory. That’s a lot more examples of pulling games out late than blowing leads.

How DARE you bring in facts and examples to kill a bad narrative.
There are a couple of shite-head "fans" who lay in the weeds and wait to pounce on every negative. I don't get it. If they hate the coach and don't like how the players are playing they should go find another team to follow. Go find a team that has lost fewer than 5 games this year.
And I'll help point you on the right direction--there are only 2. Oklahoma and Duke. And Oklahoma lost 2 this weekend, so maybe they are a bad choice.
