Next year will be very telling with all the senior hitters gone, LSU bats could really be hurting. Really wish Torina would have used her freshman class more during the easier weekday games. Cummins is going to have to hit almost all the games next year, would have been good to use her more on the easier games this year. Would have liked to see Clark used at first base this year at least a few times and get more AB’s. Tidwell with a few more games at ss could have been beneficial for next year.

Well hopefully this offseason they can find the right buttons to push to get Doyle back. LSU returns Doyle, Andrews, Sunseri, Stewart which is a good little foundation with a couple big time recruits coming in (Briggs and Pleasants). Still way too early to begin to even predict a lineup with transfers still being a possibility. This new transfer system definitely opens the door for a lot of top programs to add a key piece to a weaker/inexperienced spot in the lineup. If Torina can add a top tier transfer, you bet she will do it again this offseason.

Clark I definitely feel will have a much more expanded role next year.


Random thought but our family is friends with Victoria Abrams parents (LSU signee). She has had a big breakout year this season. Torina picked her up after she came into some camps and had a good summer in travel ball. She is one of those late bloomers. Senior year, she is hitting over .500 with 19 home runs, 15 doubles and 5 triples. Really interested to see what they can do with her.
