Bunch of children in this thread. It should not matter where you are sent. If you deserve it you will earn it. If they lose they weren't good enough. All of this whining is just sad.

Think about it. The committee is doing it's best to prevent a champion repeat. Sending us out west to try to take away our fan base? won't happen. No one can convince me why we couldn't have been in a Texas, Florida, Oklahoma Georgia regional. Sad!

Bottom line: LSU got HOSED on location.

They sent us to the farthest away location (Farther than Conn!) in a super pairing that if we pulled the upset, we have to go right back to the same area! (Compare that with UCLA's 3 and Fullerton's 2 and 3 seeds which are west coast teams!)

I have never seen a top 30 RPI team so thoroughly hosed in locational factors.

Why did they send west coast teams to BR in the past? Why did they send Minnesota to BR last year?

Sending teams across country is nothing new with NCAA baseball. It's just new for LSU.

trying to understand why Alabama went to Atlanta instead of us

Because the Chair of the selection committee (Tim Weiser) is a Wichita State/Big-12 guy and he hates LSU.

Perhaps LSU shouldn't have tanked in conference second half of the season. They earned this spot because they put themselves at the mercy of the committee.

Handle your business and you can't be "hosed."

Quite possibly TWICE, if we upset at UCLA. That's the point, they didn't just screw us up once by sending us to a far away regional, they screwed us over twice by sending us to a regional/super regional paring that is as far away from BR as regionals get this year.

Minn is there, but they are a 4 seed. They don't deserve consideration. But to have a major conference champion with top 30 RPI have to play through two sites that are on the other side of the country? Ridiculous.

I'm going to take the Ric Flair approach,"To be the man, you got to beat the man." If LSU can make it out of this regional and super they'll be ready to take it all.

To have grown men act like such homers and not look at the situation reasonably is ridiculous.

LSU did not earn anything better than what they got.

If the NCAA was going to screw a program over, you'd think LSU would be at the bottom of the list.

They have the resume of a 2 seed. As a 2 seed they got screwed over. Just because they are a 2 seed doesn't mean they deserve the stupidity of the committee. Baseball America "LSU deserved better."

Win the games, no matter the opponent, should be the only state of mind right now.

LSU didn't get hosed, they got in the field of 64. Now you might say Kentucky got hosed and be correct. Kentucky beat 16 of the top 50 and didn't make the field. Now that is getting HOSED. Kentucky didn't even get a location in the field of 64, LSU did.

LSU has received many, many favorable draws over the years. We get sent out west one time and guys lose their minds.

That is the definition of spoiled.

No kidding, I am sure that the team will have that mentality, as they should.

But since today is selection day and that is what we are talking about, doesn't change the circumstances that we got one of the worst(if not the worst) 2 seed locational screw overs in recent history.
