He must have gotten hurt early in the game. He was 1 for 1 for 14 yds. Sloan was 6 for 8 for 60 yards.

Cliff Brown was the Notre Dame quarterback, I believe. Theisman had already graduated. I was on my recruiting visit that weekend, so that game will always stick in my mind.

Namath never played in Tiger Stadium. He played against LSU in1964 but the game was in Birmingham.

Stabler’s team played in Tiger Stadium twice, in 65 and 67. Stabler was a backup to Sloan in 65 and was suspended for part of 67 I was at the game in 67 but I don’t remember whether Stabler played.
