Word on TOS is Clancy and Ed O. No insider, just posters, but a reliable one. Nothing definite though.

If true, why the heck not?
they are probably talking through their agents.

Are both coming to LSU? CP as DC and coach O in some position coach?

I think that's a given at this point

24/7 and a poster said both were talking about coming. I would assume CP as DC and Ed O as a position coach.

Did Pendergast and orgeron coach together at USC?

This is the best poster who sounds reliable I could find. I've already posted it a couple times.

He's the best poster and can't spell the guy's name correctly?

I don't know Clancy Pendergast from the man in the moon, but after reading all the posts proclaiming him an absolute home run hire and the linked articles, I was a little leery. I mean, the guy's unemployed, is he really that great? And he was fired from the Cardinals. So I did some googling and reading and this quote (from AZCentral.com) seems to be a consensus from what I was able to find. TIFWIW.
"The defense has been a source of consternation for Whisenhunt during each of his four seasons in Arizona. The rap against Pendergast was that the Cardinals didn't perform well enough at critical junctures: on third downs, in the red zone and in the final minutes."

So pretty much just like the last 5 years here then?

Looks like we may not even notice Chief ever left.

he is our best option. He is a very smart coach and turned around USC D in one season.

Yes I agree.
He is experienced and competent.
He is innovative (fake injuries to slow down Oregon..yea but it worked)
He is eager and willing to change his formations and tendencies based on opponent or even game flow.

Exactly...that's something the last guy never did.

I think if CP wants Coach O for his DL coach, you let Brick go join Chavis in Aggieland, if that's what he wants.
Haley has underperformed lately in both coaching and recruiting. Ed O as DL coach? Heck, he's recruited and coached multiple first round DL picks.
