But it didn't, so that's a dumb analogy. What if it took place on Mars, where is no age limit?
Why is it a dumb analogy? You are judging his character off an incident that you just admitted to having no moral objections to.

Yeah internet, blogs, twitter, cell phone videos, instagram, and 4,000 television stations have nothing to do with the fact we barely heard about shite back in the day. The world isn't getting worse, we are just hearing about everything in milliseconds and with video/picture proof because 95% of Americans have a damn camera cell phone. Without a camera phone present, there would be no arrest in this situation.
Oh and the fact football players these days come from lower-economic backgrounds than before. Theres a reason Yale and Harvard aren't good at football anymore.
People need to step back and think before they post. This thread is so fricking retarded.
The HS senior got a blowie from a HS freshman. That shite happens daily in this country with no repercussions. Then that same guy 3 years later got into a bar fight after being instigated by being called the worst possible racial slur that couldve been said to his face...twice
Well Said!
I honestly believe that if someone doesnt agree with every single word of this, then they have absolutely no grasp on reality, and therefore shouldnt be allowed to vote.

Would you be ok with it if it took place in Alabama, since sexual contact with someone between 12 and 16 is legal if you are under 19?

Pretty sure he stopped getting blowies from freshmen after that. I find it 100% excusable for a black man to beat the shite out of a white man that calls him the n-word twice to incite him.
Been following him around?

Too bad you don't write the law, or he'd be GTG right now. But as of now, until he's cleared of any charges, the kid is in trouble.
I hate to see that talent go to waste, too- but he should know that he's a target in the local bars. Not exactly fresh news.....But whatever.

And we as a culture have been taught to accept/excuse this kind of destructive behavior. Look...for sure these things happen, but I would argue there was a time when this kind of behavior was not considered "the norm". I've always taught my students, decisions and actions have consequences, and bad decisions and actions have bad consequences. People die every day from the consequences of bad decisions. I've seen my share of these heartbreaking stories.
Look..maybe one day when you have a teenage son [or daughter] you will understand the anguish in a parents heart when they learn their kid was injured in "a bar room brawl". Happens all the time. Kids loses an eye, or the use of a limb. Excusing a behavior does not make it right. Would you agree an SEC coach MUST establish and maintain discipline? That's all I'm sayin.
Get the facts....then decide for yourself.

Nola.com article states:
"LSU RB Jeremy Hill punched victim from behind, celebrated, police report says".
Feel free to go check it out if you like.

Maybe you should follow your own advice, instead of saying this:

Please spare us this bullshite. If my kid would come home bloodied up in this incident the conversation would go like this...
-"What in the hell happened?"
-"I got into a fight at Reggie's"
-"Why were you fighting?"
-"Well i called a black guy a ni**a to his face twice and he beat the shite out of me."
-"Did you learn your lesson?"

the assumption that a kid will be honest to his parents
hahahaha
you might have no children

Whups. My mistake (It's early). I WOULD MOST DEFINITELTY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT- no matter where it happened.
IMHO, 14 is 14 no matter where it happens. What Alabama does is their business- but I wouldn't approve of an 18 y/o going at it with a girl that young.
Just my .02....

yeah bwahahah
I've been punched several times in college bar fights on the winning and losing end. Who cares? You live and you learn. We aren't made of glass. Kid got punched a few times and is fine now. He should'nt have said the N-word to trained black athletes. He hopefully learned his lesson.

I wish I had and could post pics of what some HS freshmen girls look like these days without looking like a creep. My mom teaches kids that age. Some on them look like they're 20 and are wayyyy more active sexually than people their age 30 years ago.
Its the fricked up, over-exposed, world we live in. They look up to sluts on tv.
ETA:
I mean holy hell, MTV has a VERY popular show about girls that age that are pregnant.

So it's the 18 year old thing that allows you to judge his character. Damn, if only Jeremy Hill was a couple months younger he would have your blessing.
I know once I hit 18 in high school, I became much more mature and only looked at fellow 18 year olds.

I don't think any one here disagrees with this. It's the jump you make from that to asserting he has a shitty character.
And there was never a time in American or human history where fighting and blowjobs didn't happen. That is mere fantasy.

There is a guy I went to high school with that was dating a freshman when we were seniors. I'm not lying when I tell you that as a freshman, she was probably hotter than any senior girl in our class.
And pretty sure they're still dating FWIW

So the behavior can't be too bad if its legal in many states, right?

Now that is very true. Times we live in, I guess...Most likely parental fail.
