Charges based on the girl's account of events, which the girl later revised.

No, but it does make you wrong. Miles and LSU handle these situations the same as 99% of other schools

Doesn't make me wrong. That is simply your opinion.

I wouldn't have given the guy a scholarship in the first place.

Clearly you weren't in position to in the first place ... but that doesn't mean you wouldn't be complaining about Miles had Hill gone elsewhere and excelled.

hence the plea agreement. A girl that by the way was being shunned and harrassed for bringing the charges in the first place.

Incorrect. If you were making the argument that college football needs to be cleaned up and these players shouldn't get so many chances, that would be an opinion, and i would actually agree with you. But you are making the argument that Miles and LSU handles these situations diefferntly than most programs, which is absolutely false when you look at the facts.

I prefer to let the guys with low moral character go elsewhere even if it means we ultimately win less games.

What do you suggest we do about Miles "lack of Control"?

Who controls today's immature, prima donna, college, hero, football player? Can his parents control him? Can law enforcement control him? Can the judicial system control him? The only person who can control this kid is himself.

As H.C., Miles can set boundaries and enforce them when they are crossed. That is all the control any coach has. Coaches have to tread a fine line between what is best for the player and what is best for the football team and school.

Miles might decide in the future to eliminate certain high school recruits for certain types of bad behavior in high school. Maybe he should have zero tolerance for all recruits with a crime history.

That would have spared Miles and LSU the horror story of a certain QB recruit that helped cripple this program for over half a decade. Come to think of it, our present starting QB has also had a brush with the law in the past. So what do you do?

Maybe Miles will adjust his recruitig policies in the future after this episode.

Do we want to win or do we want a team full of fine upstanding citizens because you can't have both. The big majority of our roster has their head on straight and a few bad apples lead super dramatic people to blanket the whole team as thugs

Alright, so you obviously have made up your mind that the originally charges were correct and the girl was harrassed to change her account.

You must be an incredible lawyer to be so adept at determining guilt based upon a Bill of Information.

You've also obviously made up your mind a long time ago on Miles, so there's no use trying to argue with you.

I do agree with this statement.

I have stated that LSU doesn't even follow and enforce their own discipline policy and took the position that they should.

I know people close to the situation as well, who say just the opposite of you, so I'll leave it at that.

I do not disagree with this, i just think it is naive of us to think they will. It is just the nature of the beast. There is too much money involved to change this.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. The people we know probably work in the same office.
