Sooner or later the coach, athletic director, school, district attorney and local law enforcement are going to get tired of looking like idiots
A misdemeanor for a simple battery charge makes no one look like an idiot. Do you realize how many students, football players or otherwise, could be charged with simple battery every weekend.

Doubt it. Miles will never have a zero tolerance policy, he wants his kids to succeed and will provide as much help as he can to them.

I don't pay a whole lot of attention to who says what on here, with the exception of a few severely stupid people.

cuz Hill is good....amirite???
No, because kicking someone in the head and back and breaking bones while someone is unconscious is a felony.

meh....barfight is a barfight.
Posted on 4/30/13 at 8:42 am to Choctaw
Hitting a person one time and kicking someone on the ground when they are unconscious are very different as it applies to the law.

So, what's the O/U on the number of pairs of shoes that J Hill owns?

If the video does come out and shows JH sucker punching the guy as some have reported will it change your perception on the situation?

Where are all those posters crying self-defense now?

The video doesn't show the whole scenario. It's just of Hill punching the dude, it's taken out of context. I don't know how much that kind of evidence holds up in court, but it doesn't portray the events of that night clearly.
I don't want to see the video, and I doubt that we will ever see the video. I just want to know what dumbass took it and sent it to the cops

they're also the same ones that wanted JJ immediately kicked off the team for his barfight incident.
Everyone wanted JJ kicked off the team because he sucked as a QB. Everybody knew that was the only way that a different QB would see the field. Situation is just a liiiiiiiiiiitle bit different with Hill. If this frat kid doesn't drop the charges his life as an LSU student will be horrible. People will want to lynch this guy every chance they get. This frat guy has as much to lose here as Hill, and hopefully this guy takes a step back and realizes the long term effects that this situation could have on his life. I think that he will, and all this stuff will be dropped.

Do you people just purposely sit around and make shite up? No one ever said anything about self defense.

Unless his name is released I don't think so.

People love to talk bro, and I'm shocked that someone hasn't dropped his name YET with complete details of what happened

So CLM needs to make an "example of someone". How many players has he suspended over the yrs, more than a few "star" players? His starting QB only wks before starting the season in a high profile game in Dallas being one said example. He kicked his potential starting QB off the team in RP. He kicked his All American & Heisman Trophy candidate off the team in TM. I'm comfortable with the way CLM's handles the discipline on his teams, especially when his way is compared to the ways of many of his peers in the SEC.

If they weren't better than Hill last season what makes you think they are better than Hill right now?
Operative word: "Possibly"; I'm only saying that we have depth at RB, and that they are hungry to prove themselves. They all impressed at Spring Practices, and are in fantastic shape. The bottom line is that even without Hill, the RB position is strong enough for us to get the crystal ball.

Seriously, you'd think the sky is falling the way some of our fans portray what's going on. So what, you'd like to prevent every action that a 18-22 year old man takes? That is definitely going to happen

He lays out in plain English what he expects from then, he tells them what happens if they screw up, it's up to them to take appropriate action. Les isn't going to hold their hands all through college, they will never grow up if he does that. I commend CLM for all he's done with our program, some people can't give him any credit for that.
Plus, do you think it's easy for him to kick those guys out? He puts so much time and trust into the kids, they are like his own children in a sense. How many times do you hear about LSU former athletes getting into trouble once they graduate and go on in the world?
