So why didnt they redshirt RS?

I recall talk of promises honored.
Everybody worries about Shep's fair shake, but I'm sure there was disappoint on both sides.

They didn't RS him because they're seriously considering starting him maybe/perhaps/could be.

Well that clears it all up.

Considering you're the de facto know it all, why did LSU even sign RS?

Seems like a waste to sign a 5* recruit that LSU recruitniks were clamoring for if he just fricking sucked. Go ahead captain hindsight, explain.

LSU signed him as an athlete.
They sign a lot of athletes.
Some pan out some don't.
That happens in all schools.
Nothing new about that.

I do like the term recruitniks though.

I can't argue with your logic. I don't know of one, not a single major college coach that has ever, ever made a mistake in recruiting. Nary a one.

That article sure points out one guy

He didnt want Andrew Luck, Winston, Matt Flynn, RG3, Darron Thomas, Johnny Football, but wanted David Ash, Connor Wood and Garrett Gilbert, plus wanted RP over Colt McCoy. His name is Mack Brown. Wonder whatever happened to that major coach, due to his lack of QB awareness?

Les is on a 9 year QB recruiting drought (Mett was a transfer). This year could be ugly

One of my sources that I trust the most told me that RS got in a fight with Les his freshman year in the locker room. All went downhill from there.

Yeah those 9 years of losing seasons; no bowl games, no SEC championships is hard to handle. I am guessing we will have one more like the past 9, right?

Mack Browns last 9 years

1 BCS championship
2 conf titles
3 division titles
6-2 bowl record
3 BCS bowls
4 Top 10 rankings

Miles

1 BCS championship
2 conf titles
3 division titles
6-3 bowl record
3 BCS bowls
5 Top 10 rankings

Wow, what a huge difference

You're always grasping at straws in effort to discredit Miles and LSU, and your arguments always suck, Chump.
Brown hasn't led UT to a decent season since '09 in a much lesser conference and there is no parallel.

LSU is piss poor when it comes to recruiting QB's.
We get these 4 and 5 star guys who can't get on the field. We're depending on a true freshmen this up and coming season. Hopefully Harris will change the mold of what we have been recruiting.

It depends, are you satisfied with just winning seasons? Do you wanna win ten games every year but lose to Alabama every year. Sometimes teams can overcome an average QB, Flynn, Mauck but here lately it may be whats keeping us from another NC. You know I understand you can't win an NC every year but when you are as close as we are just about every year ya gotta wonder why we don't really end up with good QB's. Is that the reason? We got Met because only because he got kicked out of Georgia. I do think Harris is one of the better guys that we have gotten in years. Hope he pans out.

We haven't set the world on fire but not sure piss poor is accurate....Mett, MM, MF, JR...were all good ones.

With a run-heavy offense, its not quite as critical to have an all-world QB tossing it around.

The JL/JJ and RS eras have given the illusion of bad recruiting or bad development.

You do realize you confirmed his criticism. The fact that none of the QBs you named were Miles recruits means hes NEVER recruited a quality QB in 10 years

Thats Depressing

How many great QB's has Bama had during that period of time. They have had some good ones, ones recruited to run a specific offense. But no really great ones.

Unless Harris wins a couple of Heisman's people like you will always bitch.

I didn't see any stipulation about the QBs being Miles recruits....just LSU recruits...maybe I missed it?
