I wouldn’t read too much into this. Not much of a threat that JD keeps the read option in practice. The fact that the defense has to not on respect JD’s legs but key in on him will obviously open things up.

Interesting that we have not gotten reports on how the linebackers are looking. Had high hopes for the freshman weeks

Duce Chestnut is really good, nickle spot or not. Zy Alexander is also good. Denver Harris, even if a 2, is good. Stamps has flashed. Toviano and Welch are ready. Corner is going to be just fine, regardless of who is out there. I'd pay more attention to safety.

Linebackers are going to be fine. Very diverse skill sets across the group, though, so packages (and ability to disguise them) will be key.

I'm kinda lost why there's panic on this board about CB just a week into practice. Posts continue to try and rag on Denver Harris bc he's playing with the 2s. We play like 5 CBs...he will play a lot of football for us in the fall. This is a good sign. Seems like we did really good with the CBs we brought in from the portal and they all will contribute.
