LSU players sound off on fan support

This is a pretty good read from the Advocate this morning. You wouldn't know it by the last couple of years, but the PMAC can be quite an intimidating place. LSU had a couple of decent crowds during the Final Four run a a few years ago, but it couldn't compare to the rowdy crowds that showed up during the season where Stro and Jabari led LSU to the Sweet 16.

I know y'all get sick of hearing from us 'old guys',but back in the early 80's ,SEC teams used to hate to come to the Assembly Center. It truly was the 'Deaf Dome'.

I'm glad the students showed up last game. They will show up again because it is a priority point game. They will more than likely have to send students home cause they will use all their seats up tonight... It'll be ashame if the rest of the PMAC is not filled.

They REALLY need to change the student section. I am sure the atmosphere would me so much better if the seating was how it was for 04-05 season

Although I was just a kid, I had some great times in that place during the 80's. The place really lost its luster in the mid 90's when everything went down hill. I have no doubt the place can become intimidating once again, but LSU needs to win CONSISTENTLY for this to happen.

Changing the student section needs to happen but students need to continue to justify doing that by showing up.

They dont send students home anymore..........and if they even got to the point that there were that many students at the game, there'd be 13,000 ppl in the pmac

They really did screw over the students. The student section was already bad enough behind media row and then they moved it even farther from the court with the exception of the 150 students they cramp into the tiny section at the bottom.

Because after the first 300 students get there everyone else gets to sit in the third level. I have to bring both sets of binoculars with me. The second set holding the whiskey.

Same thing happened to me. I couldn't get any of my friends to come because they said it was supporting Brady. I have them coming now.
I will also say that until the school makes the season start at the beginning - maybe by playing a half decent presec schedule noone will come till SEC play.

If you're an LSU fan, I don't care who the coach is. It makes no sense to sabatoge a team because you dislike the coach. I think some fans would have rathered miss the Final Four and have Brady fired than to have experienced something that might happen to us once every twenty years if we're lucky.
I hated Brady and I'm no apologist but to not support the team because you disliked the coach is crap IMO. You support LSU, period.

I thought he was a moron and wanted him gone after about the 20th player he sent packing but i missed about 3 games in 5 years. 2 years ago LSU did a student gift special for the number of games attended. I got all kinds of LSU stuff. Shirts, shorts, crocs, LSU travel duffel bag

no doubt. i remember that shite. there was one random black dude in the student section with an ohio state jersey and he got major shite when we won
on the topic of the student section, and some people will get mad, the ones that sit on the front row, but all students should be in the east endzone of the pmac, and they should start at the bottom row behind the basket and should go all the way to the top, having that whole side as students
it would lead to more continuity bt students, as well as let more courtside seats become available
