Where in the hell has that been all year? That is elite level. That is where Anderson and Eyanson sat last year.

They led the SEC and Nation in strikeouts at one point… that isn’t the issue

“Wake Forest leads in strikeouts per 9 innings with an average of 12.4
.
LSU follows closely with 12.1 strikeouts per 9 innings”

Fitting for this team that the pitching staff finally pitched a good game when the season is essentially over.

Nice to see though. That's what we'll need to have any shot to keep advancing. It's frustrating because all you needed was some semblance of this for 4 more SEC games this season and you wouldn't need perfection in the SEC tourney.

I’m torn

Half of me has watched LSU play all season and absolutely embarass themselves on the mound

The other half of me wants to say, “first time?” because LSU typically plays their best baseball this time of year and Jay specifically has gotten his teams to peak going into postseason every year he’s been here.

They pitched very well tonight but I expected them to come out with that intensity. Backs arent only against the wall but it’s Hoover where LSU voodoo exists especially with us in the late night game every day. In sec tournament prediction thread I said we’d win a couple games before running into elite teams throwing their weekend arms on Friday against A&M. I’ll be surprised if we continue to win games 3 and beyond but not going to surprise me if we’re the better team again tonight

Amazing what happens when you throw the ball across the plate

With the amount of walks to runs scored on them is a position of concern for umpiring.

As we have found out this year, this is a useless stat that keeps getting repeated here.

Did the use of ABS force the umps to have a better zone?

And also leads the free world in walks, so it IS the issue
