LSU over Florida - Let's have the CHEST to keep it and do it

LSU does not have to run from the Florida game. LSU has the CHEST to take on the Gators each and every year. We play Florida early enough in the year, as long as that continues, to overcome a loss and still win the national championship, witness 2003. And it is one of those great games each year that gives us the strength of schedule. In addition, it gets us amped for the October stretch of college football.
Miles has me a bit concerned. Coach, keep your CHEST. Stop the talk. Keep the Gators. We got this.
In a separate thread, the '97 and '07 Florida games were easily among the top 5 games Tiger fans stated they would like to relive if they only could relive one game EVER. There are more of those in the future also, as long as we have the CHEST to keep them as our every year East opponent.

You just made t best argument for keeping it. Even with the loss in '03, and the narrow win in '07, these are the only years modern football that LSU won NC's.

As I have said in another thread it is not about being scared of Florida. It is about playing everyone in your conference. If the 6-1-1 format sticks LSU will play USCe this year and next year and not play them again until 2024. Thats 12 years.
So think of it this way.. that is 12 years Bama does not have to play Florida.

I definitely want to play Florida every year. frick playing those shitty sec teams more often. If we can't beat Florida and are worried about losing to them, then we should fire our coach

Like all the dumb fricks from Alabama and elsewhere who think this is what it's about, you're missing the point. It's not about being afraid of the Florida game. It's about playing other teams in the conference more than twice every 12 years. We're in the same conference with Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Missouri. With the proposed 6-1-1 format, you'd never know it. We'll be playing ULM more often than we play them.
