Not in the realm of possibility. You don't blackball an undefeated SEC champion unless it's auburn

Not a chance. We'd have wins over Florida, South Carolina, Alabama and possibly Georgia. No way FSU would get in with their schedule ahead of an unbeaten SEC champion with those kind of wins.

This is the problem with the BCS ever since it's bastardized creation.
It's week 4 and all anyone from any team can point to and over-analzye is making it to one specific bowl game in January.
It used to be you worried about your division, beating your rivals, winning your conference, making a great bowl and if you were lucky enough to be voted #1 after all the bowls...that was icing on the cake.
Now the herd mentality is MNC or bust. And most times teams can't ever fully control if they get there. All the energy and focus is chasing a unicorn. There's more to college football than holding up a Corporate crystal business arrangement at the end of the year manufactured to rake in dough and create more hype.

Whoever is undefeated and wins the SECCG goes to the big game. Period. (Unless 'bama falls to junk, which I daresay ain't happening). If LSU beats 'bama and wins in Atlanta, off they go. Ditto for 'bama if the reverse ... unless the East wins it all with an undefeated team.
The talking heads and football fans outside of the SEC may be tired of gifting a SEC team with the crystal FB every year following the NCCG, but it'd still be nigh on impossible to deny a top two slot to any SEC team emerging from the brutal SEC schedule unscathed.

The 2004 Auburn football team would like to register an objection at this point.
last time i checked that was before the sec took over college football.

Moot point. We're not going undefeated.

USCe loses to LSU, Ga loses to someone during season and then possibly,in the SECGC if they make it, FLA St.will lose during the season maybe VA Tech, and Oregon will blow one like they always do. That leaves LSU and Alabama left. We need to run the table until Nov 3

No undefeated SEC team will be left out of the BCSNC game. Period
Posted on 9/23/12 at 9:43 am to theantiquetiger
maybe oregon but not FL state. the seminoles schedule is garbage
Posted on 9/23/12 at 9:43 am to theantiquetiger
All we got to do is win!!!
Posted on 9/23/12 at 9:43 am to theantiquetiger
We could have one loss as long as it's not BAMA and play for the MNC. Guaranteed.
Posted on 9/23/12 at 1:02 pm to theantiquetiger
If that scenario played out, and LSU got snubbed, there will be a vicious backlash.
Posted on 9/23/12 at 1:05 pm to theantiquetiger
If LSU goes undefeated, they will be in the NC, no question.

not a chance in hell if LSU is undefeated and gets left out. If LSU beats Bama, they leap to #1.

The SEC didn't have the reputation it does now back in 2004.
If we go undefeated we will be in the top 2, guaranteed.

a less stupid question would be, does a LSU team with one loss to a team not named bama make it in over a one loss...but the answer is probably the same

Take a look at the 04 Au schedule. Ours schedule is way better. There is no way if we win out we are no headed to Miami.
