buzz is a wide open spread offense
I doubt we'll see a "wide open spread offense" here, which is a good thing IMO. We don't want to put our defense in a bad position by having quick drives that don't end up with points. I think if we just open the offense a little bit, it'll be a good thing, but we don't need it to be wide open to where we're throwing on 75%+ of our snaps. That's a good way to get your defense tired and lose games bc you can't stop anyone since they're too tired.

I couldn't agree more, O is still a RUN THE BALL guy, and understands this, at the same time... He wants to OPEN IT UP..... Don't be surprised if it's a 65/35 Run to Pass Ration against GA Southern, but a 50/50 against TX...

We will see
Every year, we say "THIS IS THE YEAR" (to beat) for Bama
I'm going to sit on the sidelines and keep my mouth shut....
UNTIL WE ARE NO LONGER AFRAID TO SCORE ON BAMA (YES I SAID AFRAID) We WILL NOT BEAT BAMA UNTIL....

If Effing ARKANSAS CAN POINTS UP AGAINST BAMA, so should we, PERIOD!!!

Lord, do you not watch college football? Many, if not most, college teams get play(s) in as quick as possible and get set on the line ASAP.....this prevents the D from subbing players and forces them to get defensive call in and the defense set early.....this then allows the QB to take his time, survey the field to see what the defense is giving him.....QB can then call for the ball with the initial play that was called in or audible to secondary play (or run the RPO).....a hurry up or uptempo or whatever you want to call it offense does not mean that you are trying to hike the ball ASAP every time.....it gives them the option to do that when advantageous and have the D on the ropes and gassed.....but IMO the most important thing it does is puts the offense in more control of the game by not allowing the defense to sub as much and rest between plays, they have to get back up to the line of scrimmage and always be ready for the quick snap.

Again, just because we get set as quick as possible does not mean we are running a Chip Kelly type offense and potentially wear our D out with quick 3 and outs. It gives us options and more control of what the defense can do.

let’s keep proving Booger and Spears wrong. Sadly, those two are quickly losing support from the fan base that pays attention.

In years past they didn't want to be considered homers so they went overboard to criticize LSU (and instead became irrational critics). Hopefully now they can just be honest analyst who love their Alma mater.

THAT’s the difference in wearing out your defense when you go three and out.

Not if you are still running the play clock down to less than 10 seconds. This isn’t hard people. Watch other teams besides LSU a lot go no huddle and do a check with me shift and motion guys and they still run the playclock down. It takes the same amount of time as huddling just allows the offensive coordinator and qb maximum time to read the defense. Some times you can go tempo out of this to keep the defense off balance but usually you won’t do this until after first downs and short yardage or if you catch the defense trying to substitute and get a penalty for too many men on the field.

I’ll never forget when Marcus Spear said were goin 7-5 at best. I don’t even consider him an alum, Ryan Clark is the face of LSU in terms of the media personalities

Spears and Booger are LSU fans first, they are also Saban fans which is understandable since he coached them.

I find them to be fair towards LSU and they want LSU to compete. Nothing they have said hasn't been said on this site a thousand times.

I don’t mind the criticism from them as much as some do. We’ve deserved it

The most annoying announcers/media guys are the ones who continuously pump sunshine into the alma mater even if they suck.

Man the GTFO with that bullshite!!! Those boys are more LSU than you will EVER be! That being said, they get paid to give their OPINIONS regarding football and not to be a homer! If they did that they wouldn’t last a year at ESPN. They were giving their opinions and their opinions were wrong be happy about that!

Both are on the Tiger train right now and that is all that matters!!!
