LOL. Notre Dame "transcends" nothing, except in the faltering old minds of pale geriatrics who yearn for the days of Ovaltine, Green Hornet radio shows, and all-white football teams. This is a school that has been outscored by a hundred points in its measely four BCS appearances. A hundred points! They likely would have been the fifth best team in the SEC. Like its academics, Notre Dame's athletics are an overrated mirage.

Thats about rt. Youd have to think they are thinking 2 losses. With that schedule one loss could still get us in but it all depends on hiw the young guys developed and if the coaches can get more creative.

Either way the program isnt on a down turn. Heard this in 08. Never happened.

Because they were the only FBS to not lose a game. How do you argue to keep the only undefeated team in FBS out of the National Championship.

Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns,Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks,Louisiana Tech Bulldogs....These are FBS schools, if one of these went undefeated would they deserve to play in NC game?...No way

That's actually happened numerous times under the BCS, e.g. Hawaii in 2007.

A&M will be next year's USC (to an extent)

Basically they beat Alabama and have a great QB so everything things they will be incredible next year. I just don't see it. I don't think they'll end up 7-6 like USC, but they will be a 2-4 loss team IMO

better hope we win opening game, or we might not be ranked in the top 25 going into week 2.

Damn you're miserable. Do you really thing #14 losing to #15 will drop 11 places in the poll? You really should find a new team to support because you're clearly struggling with your support for the Tigers.

Like I said, the only thing they proved was that their schedule was a joke. They were absolutely nothing about championship caliber team.

I didn't say they should have been left out. But they were not a championship caliber team.

According the purpleandgold they are a championship team and proved that by going undefeated.

I can't wait til playoffs start, my interest in college football is waning.

Phideaux.

This is just a stupid comparison but thanks for your keen insight on college football. Also, they didn't go undefeated rendering your dumb comparison even dumber.

can't complain about a number 14 ranking. i mean after all we did lose our bowl game, and a lot of players.

i do think that we will bounce back into the top ten after a few weeks

we'll finish #1 thru #5

what do you base that on?

we will loose around 15 players to the nfl, we have the same coach.

if you are honest, that same coach couldnt finish in the top 10 with more nfl level players then most of the other teams he faced, and now you think he will finish in the top 5 after loosing those guys. even if we would finish with the top recruiting class (we wont) they are still incoming freshman. Oh and by the way its the same coach.

Great to hear. It's always good news to know that the most successful coach in school history is still coaching the team.

here is a news flash for ya, with that level talent i just pointed out you could have won that many games. Its not even close with the match ups in 90% of the games.

Its like giving someone the anwsers for the test before hand and you still make a c.

Good job by coach miles to bring that talent in. He's one of the top recruiters in the country.
Same thing with bama. They have better talent than lsu by every objective service out there. They have a talent advantage over every team. I guess that's why they win too.
Great job by both coaches to bring in the talent to their schools.
