That's why the majority of the campus is greek because if you want to party then you're forced to. Oxford COULD be cool. It's got a great downtown but it closes way too early and too many a-hole cops. Good luck trying to find a bar after a night game. and don't even mention the Grove. NO ONE parties at the Grove. They sit around and sneak beers like HS kids in ties. Another instance where it could be cool, but they want to keep the illusion of "classiness".

i can honestly say that it is much easier to get shitty in baton rouge as an underaged person than anywhere else ive ever been in the united states (as far as major college towns are concerned). other places, such as oxford, tuscaloosa, athens, etc. are great places to party but if you're not 21 and dont have a good fake you're pretty much fricked.

Yeah you could. The coke just probably masked how drunk he was.

I went there three times while at LSU, and it sucked my balls. The Grove is a joke. It's just a crowded parade grounds with trees. People don't share anything, and when you offer white beans, sausage, or drinks they turn up their preppy noses.

The cops do suck, no doubt. I'm a student though, so I know where to go. House parties are a big thing and a good latenight a friend's condo after the bars close make for much fun. It's not a place I would want to be if you don't know anyone.

Oh and towlie, I'm just going off what I remember about the story. I know for a fact he was over the legal limit alcohol wise. The cocaine, I don't remember if that's true or not.

You are referencing Playboy's picks and statement from a few years back.

The ppl judging this one have probably never been to BR.

Been there and there is no way in hell, it is a bigger party school than Vanderbilt, much less LSU!

I have to say that the comments about Ole Miss really highlight the difference in perspective between underaged, underclassmen and 'of age', alumni. I was at Ole Miss in 2003. I thought it was a blast. The Grove was great, and everyone around us shared alcohol, food, TV access, and whatever else they had. We even got a ride on a golf cart from some guy, which really helped.

The saying at OM is "We may lose the game, but we'll never lose a party." I think it's apt. If I were in charge of the criteria for Party U, I would make it a priority that an underaged person can get tanked there.
