LSU's helmet history is actually a bit comical. There have been four revisions over the years and all of them clash a stark yellow and purple. But somehow, it works. In fact, the collision of the two colors is a bit royal, like that guy who wears the odd wardrobe just because he can.
But in addition to the colors, the school's abbreviation and a fierce tiger are placed prominently on the helmet, giving this lid all-around appeal. We'd wear this in Death Valley any Saturday in the fall.

No Florida, no Oregon (who seemingly has a different helmet for every day of the year)
Strange list.

I don't see the attraction of Arizona's either.

Bamas helmet might be the most historic and well known helmet out there. So is pen state. Didn't look at the list, but pretty sure they are high

Never been a big fan of Miami's lids, but I love the "classic" CF look, so PSU, Bama,Nebraska etc are all cool with me. Always loved Michigan's helmet too.

Michigan #1 is right on. But some of the other selections were more about tradition than aesthetics or Penn St and Bama would never had made the list.
