The LED light show for Georgia on Saturday looked BADASS! I loved it.

LSUs entrances for years have been awful, They just run out and the damn cannons go off and scares half the fans.

This is Burrow’s last year.

I hail from here, jackass. If you’ve been to any game in Tiger Stadium you had to have realized their entrances is never on cue. Comparing it to others and it’s silly.

I thought we already had LED. That's why they keep the stadium lit up year round.

Scott can contact me when ever he wants to put them in. TAF has me on speed dial. Most of the infrastructure is already there, and what isn't is easy to add. We can pull it off in the off season or during the season. It is up to TAF, the boosters and the AD.

definitely don’t want flashing lights in the stadium like that. Not good for us folks with epilepsy. Take no chances.

. You people with epilepsy are taking a chance just going to football games.

That's actually a trick we do with the score boards & the ticker bars. To make it look like that we have to turn the "lights" off. We "could" do it game time, but the big stadium lights have to go through a 10 minute reheat period to turn back on. Which would create a fire marshal, occupancy, issue in an emergency. So, for now we wont do it.

Georgia, actually, changed the stadium flood lights out to color rotating LED dimmables fixtures, then integrated they system with the sound system. They don't have the lamp reheat period issues that LSU has. They can hit one button and the lights turn back bright white 100% with no delay.

We would be able to do it at tiger stadium. The integration is there, but the old flood light fixtures at the top of our stadium aren't LED (yet) And the certainly are not color changing fixtures.

Now in the breeze ways, and in the south endzone top archways, yes we can control the color. Those are dimmable/ color changing. Even the ones at the billy cannon statue are color changing. Same goes for the north and south plaza lights.

For about $200 grand, we could make the change, but really, wouldn't you rather spend the money on fixing the play clock, or black spot that always pops up on the score board in the middle of every game.

Don't spend 5 grand on a TV bro, the difference with a 4k is not worth several thousand dollars

That’s one stadium trend that I hope does not come here.

I didn't even think of this when I saw Georgia flashing all the red and white lights. I wonder how they communicated that ahead of time for epileptics and others. Seems like a pretty massive risk for potential litigation unless properly communicated. Stuff like that is no joke.

IMO, we have enough gadget stuff already. I'd be happy with a consistent championship contender on the field instead.

I'm old school as well but recruits like that shite. You can't sleep on that kind of shite. I remember when it was the score board size war. The goal is to either keep up or move ahead. We have the best colors in football. Lighting could really exploit that plus it looks pretty cool from blimp shots at big games.

With recruiting the arms race will NEVER stop.

Since we are on the topic of doing things like this, I can't believe LSU didn't install the equipment to do the new court projection intro's in basketball when they put in the new scoreboard. If you have never seen these, they are pretty bad-arse. The NCAA started doing them a couple years or so ago for the Tourney.

Here is an example of one Florida does for their games... LINK
