OK. I'm back after 7 hours, and the Rantards did not diappoint me.

First, how many of you in-bred idoits read the WHOLE first post, and the 11th post? That's what I thought.

No fricking way am I pulling for Florida. If we lose, it will hurt. But in December, everyone and their mama (including me) would be glad that
THIS GAME was the only loss.

I understand the logic of losing early is better (i.e. USC lost a week before us in '03, therefore had a head start to getting back to the top of the polls before LSU).

I would rather win and hope for the best. The allure of being an undefeated National Championship is what LSU has to strive for...but the "LSU MUST lose" is a crap statement. Have some faith that we'll go undefeated...yeah it's not in our odds, but crap....let's worry about that later.

Are you a congressman or a Fannie Mae mortgage broker? Only a politician could write such a stupid thing & think it actually makes sence.

Well if you must pick a loss, I'd choose Florida rather than SC or Alabama. Earlier in the season, not on our SEC side, they are favored and well-respected. But I'd rather not lose period.

I think what you were trying to say is that if we are to have one loss, it would be best to lose tomorrow? I agree. I just don't see us losing for the rest of the way if we win tomorrow though. But we'll probably drop one seeing as how it is the SEC.

BBA,

I'll be in the complete minority and agree with you. Either way, as long as we aren't blown out- we're still in the title hunt.

Ummm, but SC didn't lose again and was still shut out, while OK lost their very last game before the bowls and was still allowed to play for the NC.

So the logic of losing early in this case sure as heck didn't hold true. But oh well. You should never, ever, ever, HOPE to lose. Have faith in your outstanding team.

you weren't shut out because you still ended with some form of a National Championship.

If LSU had lost before USC, we would have gone in to the Sugar Bowl as the #1 team in both polls. There would've been no split championship. You would've been truly shut out then.

As a tiger fan, it will not suprise me if they lose this one.

- On the road.
- young QB.
- Florida is not that bad of a team.

i think what you are trying to say is if LSU has to lose one game this season that this would be the best one..? but no way should they "must lose"

i still don't like that logic of thinking at all.
