You do remember a couple of years back when PSU beat OSU in championship and they took OSU and left a 2 loss B10 champ in PSU on the outside looking in, right?

Well that’s not what happened… in 2016, an unranked 2-loss Penn St beat #2 OSU 24-21. They were #7 at the end of the season & played #6 Wisconsin in the B10 champ. But that wasn’t enough to jump the other 1-loss teams.

Very different than a #5 or 6 LSU beating the #1 undefeated team to win the SEC Championship.

The SEC champion will NOT sit out of the playoffs.

Maybe not, but it is not a certainty. If LSU loses this weekend, then beats Georgia, the SEC Champ will NOT be in the playoff.

Just say everything that needs to happen, happens for LSU to make the CFP.

But then we shite the bed against Georgia, and Bama sneaks into the playoffs.

That Thought makes me want to vomit.

He was so defensive in his argument. It’s personal to him.

Rece was one of the commentators for the LSU Tenn game this year so that’s his big thing when discussing the CFP is he doesn’t care what LSU does moving forward — he can’t get it out of his mind how bad LSU played that day and he is committed to telling the world they have to be left out no matter how good they play the rest of the year.

I guess I sort of get it from his non- partisan standpoint— be he’s starting to take it out really aggressively every time the subject comes up.

I wonder if he considered with the same veracity about say the 2014 Ohio State team or maybe the 2011 Alabama team who both won championships after losses earlier in the year ?

Yes, he particularly is offended by the score of the game but if he watched that Tenn game as close as he seems to always have it on the top of his tongue to disparage LSU— maybe we would remember how bad LSU played that day and how many unforced errors they made on a 11 am kickoff ?

Maybe just maybe teams can get better and play better over the course of a season?

Is LSU not a team that by definition it’s sort of self explanatory how it makes sense why this team would have been totally different from the first
Game of the year (Florida State) to mid-point (Tennessee) to currently?
