Just went to ebay the found sports illustrated "See You Later Gators" for $5
I remember days after that memorable game, they had the SI issues for sale at the Union. Picked up a copy, and days/weeks later I went to football practice and Kevin Faulk and Dinardo signed the cover for me. Still have it after 21 years.

Just wait til you start collecting other shite. I find myself getting some LSU memorabilia, then doing the same for my favorite MLB and NBA team. Then it branches into other cool shite. I have probably:
- a couple thousand autographed cards at this point
- various vintage pennants, bowl pins, patches
- more game worn jerseys than any sane person needs to have
- other jerseys from when I was younger that are now ‘vintage’
- game used baseballs, footballs, bats, hats
-mini helmets
-bobbleheads
-starting lineup figurines
- framed newspapers
- stacks of sports illustrated and game programs
Some is LSU, some Spurs, Indians, etc. I’ve managed to build shelves to keep my house from looking bad, but I have a room that is just...packed.
It’s like American Pickers but just for sports. I wish I could stop

I just bought a new house, and one room will be the “office” which my wife will mostly use, since she works from home. But, I am putting the stuff I already have collected on the walls, a TM7 signed jersey, a signed Brees jersey, framed national championship newspapers, a few LSU paintings and pictures. My wife and I were collecting all of the tickets of games we went to together and put them on a cork board, but there hasn’t been room on it for a while now, and we’re trying to figure out something different to do with them. If anyone has any suggestions/ideas on what we could do with the tickets, it would be appreciated..

I have attended LSU football games for 62 seasons. Collected the game program from each game I have attended since 1966. The flood of 2016 wiped out almost 20 seasons worth of those.
Dang shame man. Were you/your family season ticket holders since 1966?

Looking for framed newspapers from the baseball world series wins
You can go to The Advocate’s website and get all of the football and baseball(and probably basketball) championship posters, and then go to Hobby Lobby and pay to get them framed. Definitely pay to have them framed, I thought it would be easy and I could just do it myself, but it’s not... And before you go to HL, they ALWAYS have 50% coupons on framing, so it ends up being pretty cheap to have it done, maybe $20-$30.

You could always get a "display table" that is sort of like a shadow box, and have them scattered throughout it. You could even toss in some pins/buttons and other mementos from y'alls games.
I'm working on a unique way to display some random tickets. Once I get the idea to the framer, I'll post it.

here's one that I did with old tickets and stuff. if you have a enough you could do a whole wall with them.

There are alot of collectors on this site and a memorabilia board would be helpful.
frick no
lets not turn this place into reddit where there is a specific subforum for literally every single thing under the sun. TD has too many subforums as it is.

Maybe just an ongoing stickied thread that people could show off their LSU sports memorabilia in one of the other forums. Keep it all in one place.

I haven’t gotten into the pin collecting game.. I’ve thought about it, because I see a lot of people doing it, but it just doesn’t interest me for some reason..

A memorabilia board would be much better than F/D, M/TV, Poli Talk, Tech and Outdoor boards. Get rid of all those, and start a Memorabilia Board and you have a net gain.....

It's addicting once you get started with them. LSU has had so many crazy styles and versions but they all have a very interesting history.

I have pennants from 29 of the 49 bowl games LSU has played in.....As I've already said, I'm desperately seeking any of the others. I also have 2 of the 3 final fours (need 1981) and many of the CWS years (especially need 2000)- if anybody's selling, let me know.

I had been looking for the 1981 pennant for a while also, but I'm not sure it exists lol. I'm just sticking to the CWS years LSU won which I have all of those. Hopefully we can add another one this year.
Posted on 12/20/18 at 1:49 pm to GeauxGirl33
You wouldn't happen to have 2 of the 2000 CWS (or be willing to sell your one)?

Unfortunately I only have 1 and don't plan on selling right now. However, if I change my mind or come across another I'll let you know.

Great Idea. Thanks
Advocate: Seems to have better prices and bigger selection. For example, has a set of the 5 baseball championships from '91-'00 for only $40. A lot of single prints are only $10. Have a Music City Miracle front page for $10.
Advocate Re-Prints
Times Picayune: Ranges from #35 for the print and $75 framed.
Have football championships and the most recent baseball.
