I'm still confused why it took Mett til his third year to successfully run the offense.
This is a bit simplistic in that OBJ and Landry weren't all world for 3 years either. The offense as a whole improved.

According to The Record Book, the 2011 Offense was one of the best (Scoring O) in LSU history.

You answered your own question.

Go back and watch OU's game with TCU this year. Mayfield was injured and Knight played the second half. He looked terrible. Out side of beating Bama in the Sugar Bowl he's just an average QB

And what we've seen so far since Zmett can?

You don't know anymore about this dude than I or anyone else does.
If BH got hurt or suspended we'd be back on the Jenniswag bus.
I suppose that's ok?

They also looked at and got Andrew Hatch. They might have looked at Mayfield, but he ain't here. Neither is Kelly. The only jewel was Mettenberger from JUCO. My concern is they have screwed the pooch so much with quarterbacks and now seem to be almost ready to try anybody with a quarterback title and a semi-beating heart.

I thought this guy was going to be awesome. I don't know what happened to him and we'd probably mess him up some more, but I'd take anyone that has torched a Bama D. We only scored 17 on that Bama team with Mett, OBJ, Landry and Hill.

Which should tell you something. It ain't the QB or other personnel that is holding the passing game back. Wanna guess what or who it is?

I think we all know the answer to that. He was actually taught and developed somewhere else by someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Why not. Depth isn't a bad thing.

I'm on the side of winning. Whatever it takes. I'm still a Harris fan but confidence is waning.

Idiots. What LSU games were y'all watching this year? We suck at QB. Harris has arm talent but he is clearly not the pro style QB that Miles/Cameron is trying to make him. I'm tired of the "Well next year" and "He is young" excuses. He regressed the second half of the season because Miles didn't prepare him for SEC play.

I guess since Baker Mayfield and Jacob Coker couldn't get on the field at TT & FSU its safe to say they had no future elsewhere.

He's got phenomenal arm strength but little touch on the ball and a huge wind up in his delivery. I'm not sure how much higher his ceiling is at this point.

Lots of teams do this. QB ends up being a crap shoot sometimes. Lots of high rated guys dont turn out, or players leave program early via transfer or draft. Just look around the country.
