Offensively, yes.

Defensively, no.

Special Teams, no.

So, LSU's players are better coached than Auburn's.

For some reason it seems like the D is getting a lot of the blame for the outcome of the AU game.

Anyone that says this doesn't watch football or doesn't remember the game clearly.

Don't look at the final score from last week. Auburn racked up 528 yards of offense and only allowed 243 yards while gaining 7.9 yards per play versus 3.7 ypp for LSU. I didn't watch the game but after looking at the stats I don't know how they didn't win this game by 20 points when they only turned the ball over once.

Score's not everything.

I'm kind of getting sick of all the talk about how we weren't prepared for Newton

Don't get too sick, Miles admitted as much, read Dandy Don's column

I agree! The offense was the reason LSU didn't win the game.

in W/L? Obviously.

in terms of evaluating effectiveness of the Offense or Defense? Not everything.

They would have hung 50 on us if it wasn't for our punter? Seriously? Wow, what a lame statement that was

The reason we held them to 24 points was because they had the long field all day. Our special teams, not our defense, should be credited with holding them to 24 points.

What about that are you to dumb to understand?

Not that dumb. Man pull the panties out of your crack. We lost to arguably the best player in college on the road.

Defense didn't play great, but they gave us enough chances to win.

yes they kneeled on the three, after we were forced to go for it on our own half of the field...that's a wash because any other time of a game we would have punted and they wouldn't have been in scoring position like that

Thank you for saying that.

Yes.

We have an anemic offensive system. But the position coaching is probably interchangeable.

All we saw was a read option run by Cam. JJ runs it too, pretty well. But he has not half of the ability of Cam.

Put Cam as our QB, and JL as their QB (or JJ)....do we win? Probably. Does that make us better coached then?

I'll agree that the defense and special teams provided enough opportunity for anything better than a dysfunctional offense to win the game.

We should have run more than one halfback pass.

i can't believe people are complaining about the defense.

1. the spread offense is difficult to defend
2. the spread offense with cam newton has been tearing people apart all season
3. the spread offense with cam newton is basically impossible to beat when lsu's offense has ONE FIRST DOWN in the entire third quarter.

it's amazing that lsu had a chance to tie late in the fourth quarter. that's how good the defense was playing.

You're right. I keep reading that from Auburn posters especially. The truth is they didn't exactly drive the field to then kneel on the 3. So to say that the final score wasn't indicative of the game based on that is bogus. I would say that the final score is not indicative on how many more yards Auburn had....

Our offense just did not make enough plays to win the game. Period the end. We lost to a better team on the road.

Exactly right. The defense defintley had its faults, but the offense did not step it up. Championship programs can step up one phase of the game when another phase isn't playing too well. We cannot rely on the offense to win any games period.

Changing out JJ for Cam does not make us a better coached team.
