Grape, I couldn’t agree more. Fierce for the Future. What a comical embarrassment. Who actually approved that??? Unreal.

Sports are a symptom of the disease, brother.

It's cliche but athletics are the face of our university, academics are the backbone. You screw with our image, the whole university suffers.

Last time I checked the backbone supports the whole body including the head the face is attached to.

How much are you giving?

Are there any quantum physicists on this forum? I want to know if it's possible to give less than nothing.

If possible, that's what I'm willing to write a check for. I would sign it emphatically and with great pleasure.

Prior to LSU's current president and athletic director, I used to give a whole lot more than nothing.

My philanthropic ranking is around 1550. I have given plenty of money to TAF, Foundation, Alumni Association, and the programs where I earned my LSU degrees. I am a season ticket in football, basketball, and baseball. I am turning the spigot off until the clowns on the BOS, Alexander, and Alleva are gone. I am returning my football season tickets I have had for over 20 years and basketball season tickets for over 10.

Now this is a TRUE fan of the University.

Kudos to you my man for standing up for what is right and having the gumption to back it up.

A change in leadership would go a long way in helping people open up their wallets for the university.....a total attitude adjustment is needed....the university needs to head in a new direction without king

The problem in the athletic department is just a symptom of the disease. The disease is those two bozos in charge especially FKing.

If they can't properly manage a multimillion-dollar college sports program why the frick would you trust him to manage a multi-billion dollar University system?

Go take a look at how far LSU has fallen in academic rankings over the last few years. As a whole and as individual graduate programs.

What you eggheads fail to understand is that LSU might as well stand for Louisiana Sports University. LSU has never ranked very high in education but there's only one other university in the entire conference that has more collegiate team National Championships and they only lead by 2 and it's pretty much all in one sport.

You have to play to your strengths. Without athletics LSU is just UNO-BR.

Whoever came up with the FIERCE tagline should be fired. That is plain stupid.

Having said that, I love LSU and as an alum know I need to support it. I will give my money in a very focused manner that will prevent FKA from using it for his liberal agenda.

Please consider that the athletic department is pretty much separate from the educational institution. I wouldn't recommend giving anything to the sports operation at this time, but the educational side of the university has been starving for too long. It is worth a donation to help the institution.

With the recent history of misappropriated funds, U High, OLOL, the botched Wade fiasco, and god only knows what else....not a dime
