Seeing that Yewskie has been on Mahtook’s show, I’d say yes, they have met.
Kendall Rogers has more sources and is plugged in on the national level than Mikie Mahtook, but Mikie is 100% more in the know on what’s happening at LSU. Kendall doesn’t have Jay Johnson on his podcast once a week like Mahtook does. Kendall doesn’t talk with the LSU coaches and players on a weekly basis like Mahtook does. Kendall doesn’t live in Baton Rouge and see the players and coaches on a routine basis like Mikie Mahtook.

Has Mahtook talked to any other person that covers other schools about Montgomery and how they feel about landing him? Legitimate question, why wasn’t Mahtook the one to break the Holman news?

I’m going with the people closest to Jay Johnson over Kendall Rogers who lives in Texas. Just because Kendall Rogers has great contacts all around college baseball, doesn’t mean he knows more about this one individual program than the people involved with the program. And yes, Mikie Mahtook is hands on involved with the LSU baseball program. You think Jay Johnson doesn’t use former MLB players like Mahtook and Jared Mitchell to the benefit of the program?

Mahtook is probably as close to the program as any former player outside of the guys that left this year.

Funny, these guys announce a transfer to LSU, a week later they make an appearance on the Mik’d Up podcast, and you think there was no interaction with these players and Mahtook and Mitchell until after Kendall alerted the college baseball world where a kid is going to school?

Come on Project, you actually think that Mahtook has better info than Kendall about where top transfers are going? And you know what I’m saying. If Jay’s wife directly asks him of course he’s going to tell her. Surely y’all really aren’t trying to relate Jay’s wife to Mahtook and Kendall right?
