You blew out a rap team in the 4th quarter. You will not do that in the sec.

The bottom of the SEC is actually pretty weak this year. Albany is probably better than our next opponent, Arkansas.

Smith isn’t the same player she was before her injury. If she was, this team would be scary good

PG productivity (on both sides of the ball) is the biggest issue for me in addition to very slow starts. Not sure why we start slow so much but when they settle in they are fine. It’s musical chair at the PG spot right now.

Jersey is developing quite well. She is using her size better and is boxing out much better and defensively she is able to guard on the perimeter pretty well SaMyah still doesn’t look physically back from her ACL injuries, it may take her another offseason but they are still going to need her to step up.

I’m not all that concerned about our 3 point shooting from today (MK and Flaujae aren’t going to continue to miss wide open 3s), I worry more about one defense more in terms of consistency in stopping dribble penetration and contesting 3 point shooters.

Getting to conference play will be good for this team. They need to face better teams to evolve and get better (like the tournament in the Bahamas)

SEC games that COULD or WILL give us trouble...@Carolina, @Texass, @Tennessee, @UK are primary on this list.

Toughest home SEC games: Oklahoma, Tennessee, State, and OMIss.

My gut feeling is we will lose to Carolina, Texass, and one more. 13-3 in SEC for third place finish. Overall record of 28-3.

SEC Ty runner-up ending at 30-4.

Host BR Regional at a #3 seed or maybe #2 depending on what happens elsewhere.

All that said, we have enough talent on the team and Kim coaching so it’s hard for me to see this team not getting to at least the sweet sixteen.

Sweet Sixteen? Definitely.
Elite Eight? Uh … capable of doing so.
Final Four? That’s gonna be a challenge.

HVL is averaging 19 points a game. Scored 21 against South Carolina and 21 against notre dame. Anyone saying we can’t use that is lying to themselves.

Okay, let me give you a serious answer. HVL came here to play PG last season. She wanted to broaden her game for the WNBA. That was openly stated, not my assumption. That didn’t work out. She wasn’t a very good PG. I suppose then she decided to transfer to TCU to put in one more productive year as a scorer.

Her transferring was a good decision for her. She needs to be the volume shooter and go-to scorer on a team like she was at Louisville and is at TCU. She would NEVER be that at LSU with Williams, Johnson, etc. already on board. This LSU team needs some things to solidify as a NC contender. HVL is not one of them.

HVL may be entering the draft at the right time with the WNBA expanding and more roster spots available. Still, she will have a hard time making a roster with her lack of size and the fact she has no playmaking skills.

Okay, now that I’ve given you a serious answer, let me add—your takes are dumb. Quit posting.

Mulky has lots of talent sitting the bench. Not sure she knows who to play. Lacking.

First I’ll take your posts seriously when you spell Kim Mulkey’s name correctly.

Second, don’t stop there, Mr. Pundit. Be specific. Just who is this “talent” on the bench that a Hall of Fame coach with multiple national championships is overlooking?

Bartlett? Del Rosario? Be specific and tell us who on the bench is Mulkey overlooking and exactly why they should be getting minutes.

LSU isn’t any of those things. We can guard anyone when we want. We are just lazy as frick. For as hard as morrow works to shoot, she will just mail it in on def sometimes. First poster was right. We have no leader.

And I don't think the scheduling helps with motivation in that regard, but again....Kim's won more titles than I have.

Todays game was the equivalent of a first round tournament matchup and it played out like it.

Albany is significantly better than the four seed that will come to the Baton Rouge Regional this March.

I thought LSU was going to lose according to this thread, but see they won by 22 or something.

That’s kind of a theme of WBB threads/game threads in the Mulkey era.

I mean not really. Theme is we play a bunch of no names and blow these teams out and essentially learn nothing about the team. That didn’t happen here.
We were losing as late as 8 min left in the game. Then they went ice cold, didn’t score for five min, and we finally made a run. We hit our only three of the game with 24 secs left.

And I’m not convinced Albany is really that good. They’ll have to win their conf tourney to go to the ncaas. They didn’t shoot the lights out like that FGC team did a few years ago. They were okay. We just looked like crap.

We just looked tired and completely uninterested in the game for 3 quarters.

I would imagine that Kim will get that out of them by the time we are deep in sec play. We have the talent to beat anyone. But the tendency to defensive malaise in connection to long periods where we can’t hit an outside shot are concerning. To be honest it feels like the least “Kim” team since she’s been here.

How about go screw your self, internet tough guy. As for your stupid novel of a post I don’t know where to start. Saying lsu doesn’t need a scorer is down right retarded. Make sure to bump this thread when Williams goes into a shell against good teams.

Solid post. Kim's postgame comments with the media is a good watch to hear what she is seeing in her team.

Three short paragraphs is a novel? You are a dumb frick, aren’t you? Definitely true you don’t know where to start. You can’t refute facts.

Be careful you don’t ruin a relationship. Sounds like your butt buddy Jim Bean is jealous that you’re trying to surpass him as the biggest idiot on the WBB threads.

Lol. Come on with it.

Let’s see, this is about your fifth or sixth time, at least that I’ve seen, that you toss off these pathetic threats every time somebody calls you out on your stupidity.

Timlan, it appears you need to learn how to count. Also, why do you have to edit your post so much? Do you really take this shite that serious that you actually have to read and edit all your posts. lol.
