LSU is the BEST college football team EVER

This has been mentioned several times lately in the media. What will be said after we beat the second best team in the country, twice? What are the other "best college football teams ever?" and what makes them so special compared to this years LSU team? Basically, compare and contrast this LSU team with the greatest teams ever assembled

Don't start his shite until after the game. Remember, didn't bode well for USC as the greatest team ever when they ran into Texas, and they were playing them at home.

The mighty one has spoken :scaredofthehardass:
I said compare LSU with those other teams. I didn't say they were the best.

No one this season outside of LSU will have 13 wins and be able to say they beat everyone on their schedule.

Harvard in 1901 ....the best

Eta: how do we match up to the old USC teams that had all of the all-americans, heisman winners and draft picks? Are we still a few years away from knowing how good this team really is?

Any great defense will have this offense shite the bed. I hope the extra time will get jj back on track

That's quite a list. But most of those guys have had successful NFL careers. Curious what their stats in college were and what kind of competition they played... Miami was still in the big east at that time, right? Pretty much a joke of a conference

The first half of the SECCG silenced that discussion for now......

i dont get where youre going with this? drafted in the first round means you had a great college career for the most part. their whole secondary were 1st round picks lol.

cant knock them if their opponents werent as good as LSU's this year.

I would temper all the bullshite the media says about best ever. Keep in mind the '03 Oklahoma team was the "best ever" and got hyped just like that and then they got thumped in big 12 and Natty to LSU....so dont buy into all that crap

I know this is a little deep for the rant.. I know it's gonna take an educated person to make an argument and support that argument (statement/opinion). Usually you guys just have 30 threads ab the same shite with some stupid arse replies (like a few in this thread)
Rjone, thanks for participating and not trolling

That 2001 Miami D was really good, but it wasn't better than Bama's D this year.

Or OU in 2003. They were proclaimed as the best team ever before their loss to K-State and Sproles. Most people were so in love with them that it propelled them over USC in voting for the NC game

I think we just saw this argument go down the shitter this past weekend.

I don't know - that 1995 Nebraska team - I will never forget what they did to Florida in the championship game. And that was when Florida was feared by everyone. That was an amazing team Nebraska had and they finished off the season in unbelievable fashion.
We're looking damn great though.
