i am just wondering how big of a lose montgomery will be.

Will we still be able to get the pass rush? How good is our backups behind sam?
Well, since Mingo now appears to be the starter, I would say that the pass rush is improved. Mingo's not very big -- I'd be much more worried about him getting pushed around in the run game.

That's why Agheyre should be the starter and leave Mingo being the 3rd down pass rusher.

But again, I don't think the DE's are going to have much impact on this game.

I like our chances in this game but I could imagine a scenario where their defense scores 21 and their offense gets 14...

Given how well their defense creates turnovers and, well, our propensity for turning the ball over, I just don't think it is out of the realm of possibilities.

Soft schedule is a definite, the 5 teams we have faced are 11-11 overall and the teams we have yet to play are 24-9, take McNeese and ULM out and the other 5 are 21-4. Alot of tough competition left this season, and we will know how good this team really is come Saturday night. Oh yeah one other point JLee is providing a spark to the offense that will open up the run game more for our stable of RB's. I am staying hopeful that this is going to be a much better offense the 2nd half of the season.

Doesn't mean there's a huge margin between us. Could be very small fwiw.

Neither will start. Adams and Edwards will start with Agheyre and Mingo coming in. You still maintain solid rotation but Mingo will get more reps than he has been getting.

ETA: I have to respectfully disagree. With the speed that out DEs have, they will play a much bigger role than you think. If they run option or some king of speed option and that DE can scrape down the line with his speed, it will cause the play to stretch out and allow help to get there before a cut is made.

Right now, the passing offense is the only dead weight. With Lee we might have been averaging close to 200/game, which is around 75th. Add the 195/game rushing and you land somewhere around 50th.

Now consider that we haven't had any FCS cupcakes on the schedule to pad our stats. This offense can... and hopefully will... be much better than we've seen.
