NO ONE gave a shite about LSU baseball until about 1988. Many didn’t even know LSU had a team. I have nothing against college baseball, but it’s popularity pales in comparison to college basketball. Winning a championship is like being named the prettiest girl in Alexandra. It is a nice accomplishment and something to be proud of, but it doesn’t really impress anyone outside of Central Louisiana.
Consistency is what allowed baseball to push ahead of basketball at LSU. But I’ve seen times with students waiting for hours to get into the PMAC, and 60k in the Superdome for an LSU basketball game.

Baseball coach gets run off for a sweet 16 appearance and 2018 wanted to run O off for a final 6 ranking. Yet some revel to be in the top 16 in basketball, a sport that takes fewer players to recruit in a build a team. Don’t understand why basketball gets a pass.

Was going to LSU games in all 3 sports since Jack Lalambe was baseball coach and Press was BB coach. Wade has all his recruits. Should be held to same standard. Didn’t take Skip, Dale, Nick to turn things around. Why is this different?

WTF are you talking about? Dale Brown didn’t win 18 games until year 6 and didn’t win an SEC title until year 7. Wade won 18 games year 1 and the SEC in year 2. Get it turned around? He already has the highest winning percentage in school history.

A lot of them are just Ed Orgeron fanboys who were always jealous of Wade because he was successful first and they feel Wade stole fan appreciation that was owed to Orgeron. That’s how twisted these clowns are.
