START recruiting them? We have signed elite QB’s in the past. J-Russ, Perrilloux to name examples.

Flynn played QB when Les Miles still wanted to throw the ball around.
It wasn't until Les felt his job threatened in 2008 that he went ultra-conservative. LSU was actually fun to watch, offensively, in Les' first 4 years.
2009 was when it went sour.

In 20 years we had Russell, Flynn. Mettenberger now Burrow. March and Flynn were for one year.
Etling was a wonderful guy but not a good QB. Jefferson bad. Harris bad. Jennings bad. Jarrett lee not good.
Had perrilieux not been an idiot we probably have one more championship.

If you’re going back 20 years, you gotta include Rohan on any QB list.
Assuming March = Mauck
Neither Flynn nor Mauck were great, rather just serviceable. Yes, I’m aware they both ‘played’ in the NFL and Flynn set some records.
Only elite QB’s (in college) we have had post Jones/Hodson have been JR & RP.

If LSU can sign elite QBs, playoff runs should be the norm. See this year for example

Not one QB that LSU has signed out of High School, since Matt Flynn, has been what anyone would call great.
Perriloux could have been.
Jarrett Lee had some nice games in 2009.
Same with Jefferson.
Mettenberger, Etling, and Burrow were all transfers.
This has to change and hopefully will with Brennan/Parish.
