LSU is a very good team

If this game was in Tiger Stadium, LSU wins. Ole Miss returned some talent including at the most important position and was a very good team last year.
I'm more impressed with Chambliss than down on our defense. TC is VERY freaking good, and he should be because he's 24 years old or something. Should not be on a collegiate football team. LSU defense is gonna be better than ok this year.
Leavitt looked like he was told to not turn the ball over in the first half so he was hesitant to throw the ball. When he started throwing more in the second half he looked a little sped up and uncomfortable. Part of it is who he is as a scrambler but also part of it is the environment he was in and Ole Miss's defense that played better than they looked in previous games. Certainly a tough ask for a QB learning a new system with new guys all around him in his 3rd game for LSU, but He just CAN'T miss open receivers in critical moments. He's getting paid so he needs to handle the critique and learn from it.
Injuries suck!
OL needs to improve/gel and definitely not allow guys to run by their face without blocking them.
Ole Miss defense has some talent and schemes pretty good, but our offense needs to cut out the penalties, cut out the missed blocking assignments and definitely cut out the missed throws to open receivers. Running game was ok with Jones, but not ok otherwise.

We have played ONE good team and lost. "Very good" seems to be a little hyperbolic. The defense is very good but our O Line and WRs are only ordinary. The book is still out on Leavitt. At times, he looks very good. At other times - not so good.
I thought we could be about 9-3. Now?? Still in play but probably going to be difficult to get there.

Agreed about the OL, but I wouldn’t say the WRs are ordinary. They’re good. Injuries suck, and Green’s is a problem for the offense. LSU is going to be a good home team but will struggle on the road and need to play better, especially in the SEC environments.

I guess if a Mississippi judge OKs him to play then so be it. Not so in LA.
College FB is a rigged joke. Saw an obvious hold on a Bama TD right at the point the fairy receiver ran by for a TD. Turned things around. Even the booth guys and the "officiating expert" were surprised, but everyone knows not a thing can be done about it.

They are a decent SEC team. Leavitt is a good athlete, not a good QB. The OL was man handled. Chambless is the best QB LSU will see all year. Losing Green and Spears is going to hurt.
This is a 9-3 or 8-4 team with the schedule they have this year. Which, to me, is not good enough in the day and age of NIL when you don’t rebuild, you just buy the best available.
