LSU Improvements Needed Other Than Just QB Play

I've watched several of last year's games recently with a lot more attention to detail the second time around. Just wanted to see everyone elses' take on the true areas where LSU needs to improve, besides obviously quarterback. Here are a couple of things I've noticed:
1. Play calling
There's always a lot of criticism given to the qb about getting the play off. The problem is obvious when the qb is looking toward the sideline frustrated, and as if almost pleading for some direction. This seemed to be an ongoing problem throughout the season, and has been the cause of many a time out or delay of game. When they pan to Les, he's usually just watching and waiting, so it seems that Cam is the one making the decision. Shouldn't this be almost instant, given the fact that there are several coaches in the booth analyzing the defense?
2. Getting the snap off in a hurry
I know this is a problem in many loud stadiums, but some kind of improvement could be made on communication with the center. Hopefully another year of experience has led to improvement in communication and attention/urgency regarding the play clock.
Now go ahead and criticize my post, grammar, or tell me how it was too long. I'm not a coach or football expert of any kind, but I did play for some coaches that were very detail oriented and expected smart play.
I enjoy the actual football conversations on here, as many of you have a lot of insight and information, and am damn glad the off season is almost over.

Ties into QB play but we can't be afraid to attack the middle of the field in the passing game.

We also need to be more willing to pass on 1st and 2nd downs
Need to improve on not running such predictable rushing plays.

Based on your descriptions, I can't tell how or why these are considered separate things..

D-Line play needs to improve. they need to generate pressure on the QB to help out the DBs. Last year our D-Line didn't seem to generate much pressure on the QB without having LBs or DBs blitzing.
In years past our D-Lines could generate a good push on the pocket without having to rely on blitzing. However I do realize we had some extremely good Players that could change the game by themselves, Glenn Dorsey, Drake Nevis, Sam Montgomery, etc.

Yes, seems like the personnel we line up give away the play type, if not the actual play, 90% of the time.

I wouldn't say the play calling against A&M was "Wide-Open"... Hell, all they did was add a pre snap jet-sweep wrinkle.
The biggest downfall of our offense is predictability... Several times I have actually called an entire offensive series before the snap.

Being able to generate offense against A&M's defense really isn't that big of an accomplishment.

Possibly the two least impactful improvements tgat could be made. It really is mind boggling that with the entirety of the offseason, these are the assessments

I think DL play/Sacks is the only area we HAVE to improve on.
The things you mention are minor, in my opinion, and probably both come from the fact that we had a young (and bad) QB.
If the QB this year is serviceable and accounts for.... say... 20 TDs. With a middle of the pack SEC completion percentage.. AND we get into the high 20s/low 30s as far as sacks, we win the West.

You are acting like moving the ball against Aggie is an achievement. Hint. Every offense looks good against tgat dumpster fire. ULM was step for step with us in points scored. In our offensive breakout game we scratched it 23 points. Other West teams scored on average 40+, twice our production

...and I'm sure whenever/IF Donte Jackson comes in the game he will be getting the ball every time instead of using him as a decoy to open the field for others.

all of what you post is correct but you left out many, many other improvements that need to happen.
1. creative play calling
2. stop it with trying to run the same thing over and over again (see #1)
3. too much reliance on the run (see #1 and #2)
4. lack of an attack philosophy (settling for FG's, playing it safe)
5. extremely poor use of the clock and timeouts
6. more misdirection and deception in play calling, most people, even me, can call the plays before they even happen
