LSU, and society as a whole, has levels of punishment to reprimand actions. If his action deemed this punishment, let that be it. If his actions deserved for him to be kicked off the team, then would have at this point. For all we know, he could have struggled in one class and did poorly on the final.

Should we kick out all sophomores who fail one class? You can have such a blanket statement in regards to these guys, especially whenever we don't know what he did.

And yet, he looks fairly uncomfortable when pressed. I agree that he is a hell of a defender, though, just still a bit slow.

And SoS, great job as always. According to your calculations, Chattanooga sucks. Got it.

They haven't been good, but they can surprise teams if they don't come ready. They were beating Kansas 42-30 a few minutes into the second half at Kansas and had a lead with 14 minutes left.

Let's hope the Tigers come out focused, a task that will be much easier with Hickey out.

True. It is disheartening it is his second suspension of the year already. These things tend to spiral to the point of removal.

Hope this isn't the case.

I haven't been to the PMAC in a couple of years. Driving in from Lafayette tomorrow for the game. I'm pretty pumped.

I'm out of the loop. What was his first suspension for?

It's gameday. And for anyone interested Andrew Del Piero will be getting his 2nd start of the season, bumping Coleman back onto the bench where it looks likely that he will stay all season.

And for those with Children:

Santa Claus will also be on the course to take pictures with youngsters before the game and at halftime and fans will have a chance to win tickets to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl during the contest.

Also, $5 tickets for those who bring a toy for Toys for Tots to the upper concourse.

Free-throw shooting has been an issue for LSU, which is hitting at a 55.9% clip this season (80 of 143). But in the last 2 minutes of games, the Tigers are much deadlier, converting at a 77.9% rate (17 of 22).

LSU remains one of 14 unbeaten teams in Division I, one of two in the SEC (Florida). The Tigers are the second straight undefeated foe Chattanooga has faced after losing to Eastern Kentucky last week.

Despite a season-low 4 3-pointers against Seton Hall, LSU still leads the SEC with 7.8 makes per game.

Coleman is the only active Tiger averaging more than 30 minutes a game (30.4). Three others are averaging around 22 minutes a contest (Carmouche, Stringer, O'Bryant).

Chattanooga averages a solid +8.9 rebounding margin this season and has snared 12 or more
offensive boards in every game this season.

The Mocs have gotten only one individual game with 20 points or more, but it was notable. Cobb knocked down 7-of-9 shots against Kansas -- all from 3-point territory -- on the way to 21 points in a 69-55 loss. Since then, Cobb hasn't reached double digits and has missed 16 of 20 tries from outside the arc. Zlovarik leads UTC with six games in double-figure scoring this season, ranging from 10-14 points. Mason has five games in double digits.

Chalk Talk LSU/Chattanooga

Just some more interesting information.

Anyone else as surprised as me to hear that Andrew Del Piero will be starting? I like what he brings and like I wrote in the article a few post above, he will cause mismatches, but very surprised to see it.

It'll probably be like last game where he plays for 4-5 minutes and his replacement comes in. At least that's what I expect..and I kind of like it

Pretty surprised that ADP is getting the start but CJJ clearly stated that it wasn't a "circus act" when he got the start against Seton Hall. He's going to bring some energy to the team for sure with another start. Excited to see how we respond after a long break. I'll be there to watch the Tigers remain undefeated as well.
