Why not? What exactly is Stringer good at? Carmouche is bigger and a better shooter.

That's what I'm wondering. Stringer has been very frustrating at times. Maybe running will open up shots for him, but he has built a reputation as someone that will jack up ill-advised shots with regularity.

I'm not trying to bash the guy here, but he needs to find his role on this team. I don't see CJJ taking as kindly to his contested 27-footers as Coach Big Bird Rogers did.

5 fouls do not disqualify a player in NCAA.

NBA - 5 personal fouls
NCAA - 6 personal fouls

Carmouche isn't a better shooter. He shot for higher percentages because he doesn't take as many bad shots, but Stringer has a quicker release and purer stroke.

If Stringer takes better shots under Jones, he'll play more. And I think in this offense, he'll get better looks and won't force so many terrible shots.

Part of being a good shooter is taking good shots. At the end of the day, what is their FG% and 3P%? Whoever is higher is the better shooter. Or are we competing in Horse this year?

3- coleman, hammink, ludwig
4- ludwig, courtney, coleman
5- o'bryant, ludwig, del piero

I think this is close to where we start with the rotation shaking itself out in the first few weeks of the season.

Does the tuba see any meaningful minutes this year?

My best guess using what little info we have:

PG - Hickey, Collins
G - Carmouche, Stringer
G - Morgan, Stringer, Hammink
F - Coleman, Hammink, Ludwig
F - OBryant, Courtney, Del Piero

** The guy from England that we signed will be able to play starting in mid December and he will add depth down low. He is legit 6'10" Dylan Johns. He was graded by ESPN as an 87 (Morgan 88, Hammink 82) so he could be a big help.

It turns out that we didn't sign Johns.

Seeing Eddie Ludwig in any depth chart at the 5 is extremely troubling to me.

I think people are overreacting in a negative way to Ludwig, I got to watch 30 minutes of practice last week, he definitely looks quicker. He gives up size down low obviously, but damn he was pretty intense on defense from what I saw.

Also, I expect LSU to run a lot of 4 guard 1 forward sets this year.

Agreed. Which is why I think he sticks it out at 4 and Courtney who has been reported to have put on some weight and muscle goes down to backup 5.

I have always been a Ludwig fan, but I knew he had to change his mentality for this year. He needs to have a mean streak and work for it this year. That being said, he belongs at 4 most of the time. He has the size but not the mean streak you need to be a big ugly.

The reason I have Coleman and Hammink playing the 4 position on my depth chart (even though they are really guards) is because they listed both of them are listed as Forwards on the Roster showing me it is likely that they will be playing that position.

It sucked though, because we never got to see him go against JOB in drills. He dominated tuba for the most part and showed he can hang with some of the other guys on the court, (although there was one help defense drill where tuba got the ball one on one with Ludwig and made a pretty hook shot over Eddie)

I wish I could see a practice. Use to watch some when I worked at the PMAC. Havent been able to see practice in 4 years though.
