Scenario: You can either attend a tailgate party all day and night without entering the game, or you can show up at game time and get in the stadium. Which is it?

for me --> Im there for the football and not real concerned about the tailgate (especially early in the season at 98 degrees).

Football, duh. I live several states away and on several occasions have driven in the morning of the game, arrived shortly before kickoff, walked straight to the Stadium, watched the game, turned around and driven right home. Tailgating and partying are awesome, but it's about the football.

Can I watch the game at the tailgate? That's what I do usually anyway without tickets

Too bad half the "beat the traffic" crowd doesn't feel the same, pathetic losers

Well then it depends on the opponent. A night game against wku, I'd much rather go to the party.

I love LSU Football as much as anyone, but if I really wanted to watch the game, I wouldn't go at all. You can see so much more on TV.

The experience on the other hand is what people pay out of the arse for. I love the tailgating, especially the way it represents the school. I love to be in the stadium but if it came down to it, I would save the money on the ticket and watch the game on tv at the tailgate.

Tailgate.

Don't get me wrong, the game is the best part of the day, it's what we all look forward to the most, but I'd rather have fun than "study" the game. Unless you're a player or a coach on the staff, the social experience of the whole day is what makes it great. I can watch the game on TV, and have a much better viewing experience. The social experience with my friends and family is more important than the X's and O's of the game.

I love y'all that go to the games, stay the whole time, and cheer your asses off, but I just do it from my tailgate spot.

Why are the X's and O's of the game more important than hanging out with friends and family?

Because my family doesn't tailgate anymore, and all me and my friends talk about at the tailgate is "Keys to the V" or something along those lines. Plus, we're watching other games on TV at the tailgate too.

I enjoy myself when I'm tailgating...but the reason I came is to see a football game.

Plus, I don't get to go to as many games anymore.

Being in the stadium does not make you a bigger fan.

No reason you can't do both. Tailgate all day, go watch the game, tailgate all night. That's what I do .
