We are talking about LSU. Not any other school

So you want the elite recruits and you don't want them to leave early to make millions??

LSU needs coaching. You get that and everything will fall into place.

Key didn’t make a mistake leaving. His mistakes were made a long ways from a football field.

Yeah but he could have come back, had a monster year, and been a top 5 pick.

He is top 5 talent that's now going to go 2nd round at best.

I do have to admit that his approach worked for Mathieu, but he could have been top 10 had he played in 2013.

Well perhaps next year O can point to this draft as an example of why leaving early might not be the best decision.

The problem is they are from poor families, can’t make the grades to stay in school, and won’t accept recommendations that they should stay in school because they don’t grade out to be a first round pick. Most are 3- and done and it hurts the programs goals to win a NC.

Look at the schools who keep their guys for 4 years. They have a reason to stay. The perks of being on a national championship team keeps guys in the program. Now compare that to never playing for championships and finishing your season at the Belk bowl. Yeah, no more class and a solid paycheck sounds better.

Some coaches seem to have no problem getting the majority of their juniors to stay

Who would those be?

Back on point. Many of the ones leaving would not even get into LSU without football. What’s more surprising than them leaving is that they manage to stay eligible for 3 years.
