How is Georgia 64 in the RPI, and we're 72? Same record, and we have a better record vs. top 50.

3 losses currently have us out of the tournament:

SFA
@Vandy
Georgia

ETA: 18-8 with the most top 25 RPI wins would be an awesome feeling right now heading into the last two weeks of the season.

i posted this in one of the many ncaa tourny threads a few weeks back

I'll say it again, we lost out on a tourny bid when we went 0-3 against bama, vandy, uga

Man, if we won all three of those, SFA/VANDY/GA, then we would be 18-8 currently and solidly in the NCAA tourney.

Its hard not to think about it. On the other hand we've won like 5 games that we were not supposed to win, in Arky 2x, Txam 2x, Michigan, and also Houston really.

So, its hard to be mad.

Very true. So I guess it all evens out in the end. Hopefully we have a strong finish and sneak in as an 11 seed.

Imagine where this basketball team would be if Robert Williams stayed in-state to play for LSU?

Leads the league in rebounds, which is exactly what we desperately need. We have no strong lane presence on the boards.

11 pts, 10 rbs, in 26 min a game.

I think we'd be looking at an 8th seed or better in the NCAA's. We aren't losing any future Robert Williams' with Will Wade in Baton Rouge unless we've got better on board. I am confident in that.

The good news is you can avenge two of those three this week. A win @ UGA would be better than a win against them at home would have been.

It would have been nice to win 1 or two of those games. It would have been nice to make a layup vs. SFA. But these things have a way of balancing out. Two of LSU's biggest wins easily could have gone the other way. Waters absolutely stole a win at A&M and LSU survived a huge mistake on Saturday when they gave Mizzou two point blank shots at a win.

That LSU is even in the conversation this late is really more than anyone could have expected. The margin of error is almost gone, but with 4 games remaining there is still opportunity to put up a resume to consider.

Our RPI is being dragged down by WINS as much as losses...wins over Sam Houston and Alcorn and UTM and other with extremely low RPI's. As Hanny says, we should NOT play MEAC, SWAC, and Patriot League teams at all.

The whole question of our postseason plans will be determined by our last 4-6 games. We need to beat Vandy tomorrow. One game at a time focus.

Houston and Michigan being good has really helped us out. They are now #19 and #23 in KenPom, respectively. Also we swept KenPom #26 Texas A&M and #39 Arkansas.

Just another example of poor coaching.
